(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of September 22, the 1st Congress of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly opened at the Provincial Children's Cultural Palace, Tay Nha Trang ward.

On behalf of the Presidium, comrade Nghiem Xuan Thanh delivered the opening speech of the congress. The speech emphasized that the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, is a milestone of special political significance for the Party Committee and People of the new Khanh Hoa province after the historic event of merging the two provinces of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa, opening up a new stage with great development space for Khanh Hoa to firmly step forward with the country into the era of rising up, developing richly, civilized, and prosperous for the nation.

During the past term, the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa province have always received the attention, leadership and comprehensive direction of the Central Government, directly from the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Committees, ministries and branches, especially Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and 3 resolutions on specific mechanisms and policies of the National Assembly for Khanh Hoa province, which have created a foundation for unlocking resources and creating breakthroughs for the province's development.

The Party Committees, authorities, army and people of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces have promoted the tradition of solidarity, joint efforts, unanimity, strongly innovated the work of disseminating and promulgating resolutions, programs and plans to concretize the policies, resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee in accordance with local realities; innovated in thinking; creative in working methods; proactively adapted; used practical effectiveness as a measure; mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system. In particular, in a short time, implementing the Central's policies and conclusions on restructuring and streamlining the apparatus, the province has focused on leading and directing the implementation urgently, resolutely, synchronously, democratically, scientifically, with many new, creative, practical and effective ways. Up to now, organizations, agencies and units from the province to the grassroots have been operating smoothly, effectively, efficiently and effectively. During the past term, Khanh Hoa province has completed 25/26 targets; GRDP grew by an average of 8.2% per year; economic structure shifted in the right direction; export turnover reached 2.2 billion USD; total social investment capital reached 370.2 trillion VND. In his speech directing the congress, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa province over the past 5 years. The Party Committee and people of the two provinces of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa (formerly) have promoted the tradition of solidarity, made efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved many positive results, opening a new development period for the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa province, affirming a new position in the process of innovation and development with the country.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly agreed with the goals, targets, breakthroughs, tasks and solutions set by the Provincial Party Committee. " This Congress must affirm the determination to turn Khanh Hoa into a strategic growth pole of the country, becoming a centrally-run city, a modern marine economic center. He directed that in the coming time, the province needs to focus on building a clean and strong Party and political system; selecting and arranging good cadres with enough virtue, talent, capacity, strength, and revolutionary enthusiasm to shoulder important responsibilities and tasks. At the same time, the province should pay attention to operating the 2-level local government model to ensure smoothness and synchronization, meeting the requirements of the people and businesses; promptly completing the tasks of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18 and the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat; perfecting the staff for the vacant positions; proactively reviewing to arrange and transfer staff between communes and wards to suit the reality, ensuring the right people, the right jobs, the right expertise and profession; promptly promulgating regulations on the functions, tasks, and organizational structures of provincial and commune-level agencies and units according to the new model.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized: With advantages in marine economy, Khanh Hoa needs to identify the development of key sectors such as: Industry, energy, processing, manufacturing, logistics, high-tech industry; continue to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, of international stature and class. The province needs to identify the focus and key points to concentrate on implementation, ensuring rapid socio-economic development associated with cultural and educational development; harmonizing economic growth with progress, social equity, sustainable poverty reduction, improving the material and spiritual life of the people; renewing the growth model associated with economic restructuring and on the basis of enhancing the application of science, technology and innovation. At the same time, the province needs to closely combine economic development with strengthening national defense and security, maintaining political stability and protecting national sovereignty; focusing on foreign affairs activities, proactively integrating internationally; Focus on building Truong Sa into an economic, cultural and social center, as well as a solid fortress to protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland. At the same time, the province needs to promote the core role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in gathering, arousing and promoting the great strength of the great national unity bloc; creating consensus and unity in the whole society, spreading the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance, self-improvement and development aspirations.

The Congress announced the Politburo's decisions on appointing the Executive Committee (consisting of 54 comrades), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee (consisting of 14 comrades), the Provincial Party Committee Secretary, and the Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, the Secretariat appointed comrade Nguyen Tien Duc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission for the 2020 - 2025 term to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission for the 2025 - 2030 term, along with 3 comrades to hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission for the 2025 - 2030 term.

The Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term was introduced to the congress.
