This is the fifth consecutive time the Vietnam Shooting Federation has won the tournament thanks to funding from social contributions. This year's competition brought together nearly 300 athletes from 13 units nationwide, including many shooters who have achieved high results in international competitions, such as: Trinh Thu Vinh (2-time finalist at the 2024 Olympics); Pham Quang Huy (Gold medalist at the 2023 Asian Games); Le Thi Mong Tuyen (Official ticket to participate in the 2024 Olympics); Nguyen Thi Mai Chi (Gold medalist at the Asian Shooting Championships in Kazakhstan in 2025).

Athletes will compete in 33 events, including: Compak Sporting; Trap and Skeet shooting (men, women, and mixed team); air pistol, rapid-fire pistol, sport pistol; and rifle in three positions (men, women, mixed team, and air rifle moving). Athletes will compete for 34 sets of medals (28 individual medals, 28 team medals, and 5 mixed event medals).

To encourage the athletes, the organizing committee awarded prizes of 2 million VND, 1.5 million VND, and 1 million VND respectively to the gold, silver, and bronze medal winners. The prize money for breaking a national record was 2 million VND per record.
Following the conclusion of the 2025 National Shooting Championship – Vietnam Shooting Federation Cup, the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Shooting Federation, and local authorities will send delegations of athletes to participate in the 47th Southeast Asian Shooting Championship 2025, from October 6th to 31st, in Thailand, before competing at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) in December.
