According to Le Thi Phuong, Director of Lac Hong International Tourism Services Joint Stock Company (Thanh Hoa City), “In recent years, spring travel routes exploring the western part of Thanh Hoa province have attracted a large number of tourists. The majority are international visitors and tourists from some northern provinces. Currently, we offer nearly 20 tours connecting Thanh Hoa City to community-based ecotourism areas such as Pu Luong, Ban Ma, Ban But, and many tour packages for individual travelers. We also collaborate with travel agencies from other provinces to bring tourists on connecting tours to Thanh Hoa. In particular, the addition of trekking tourism products has created opportunities for travel agencies to refresh their spring travel packages exploring the routes of western Thanh Hoa.”
Regarding the pricing of tour services during the Lunar New Year of 2025 (Year of the Snake), representatives from several travel agencies stated that due to the difficult economic situation, pricing policies this year are generally stable. Compared to normal days, tour costs during the Lunar New Year period have only increased by about 5-10%. However, to ensure quality service, tourists should research destination information beforehand or contact reputable travel agencies for specific advice.
Descending from the mountainous region, this route takes visitors through several attractive tourist destinations in the province, such as Cam Luong Fish Stream (Cam Thuy), Ho Dynasty Citadel Cultural Heritage Site (Vinh Loc), and Lam Kinh Historical Site (Tho Xuan). This is one of the most popular itineraries chosen by tourists due to the cultural and historical value of the destinations, and also because of the convenient transportation system that connects these destinations. Tourists can relax in the mountainous districts and then connect their tour to visit these places. If traveling from Thanh Hoa City, the route will sequentially pass through the Lam Kinh Historical Site - Ho Dynasty Citadel Cultural Heritage Site - Cam Luong Fish Stream. With a travel time of one day, this itinerary is suitable for most tourists from within and outside the province.
In preparation for welcoming spring visitors, the Lam Kinh Historical Relic Management Board is currently working diligently to beautify the grounds, decorate the landscape, and clean up the environment. In particular, to ensure visitor safety, the Management Board has inspected and reviewed the entire fire prevention and fighting system, the electrical system, especially at the Thai Mieu and the Main Hall areas. The Head of the Lam Kinh Historical Relic Management Board, Nguyen Xuan Toan, stated: “Along with ensuring safe conditions for visitors, we will trim trees and arrange fresh flowers in the reception area, the ceremonial gate, the dragon courtyard, the Thai Mieu, the Main Hall, and the tomb area of King Le Thai To. In addition, the Management Board will study the possibility of setting up several points for visitors to take photos, creating a cheerful and exciting atmosphere for visitors to the relic site. This will also be an opportunity to further promote the image of a safe and attractive destination for exploring Thanh Hoa culture during the spring season.”
Boasting a diverse range of tourism products and attractions stretching across coastal and lowland areas to mountainous regions, Thanh Hoa confidently offers a variety of choices for tourists.
