Keng Waterfall - a wild and majestic beauty.

In Dong Phu district, many people may not know about Keng Waterfall because it's located quite far from the city center, in Hamlet 3, Dong Tam commune, on the border between Dong Phu and Bu Dang districts. It's about 26km from the intersection of Dong Xoai city. The road is generally easy to navigate, but the last 2km to the waterfall is a narrow, steep, and difficult dirt road, only accessible by motorbike or high-clearance vehicle. The waterfall is 12-13m high and about 22m wide. Because it's still relatively unspoiled, visitors should bring their own equipment and explore on their own. From October to February, the water level begins to recede, allowing groups or tours to organize various fun activities and experiences at the waterfall.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung from Tan Dong ward, Dong Xoai city, excitedly shared his experience of visiting the waterfall with his family on a weekend: “The scenery here is very picturesque, perfect for outdoor excursions. I’ve heard about this waterfall from friends for a long time, but only now has my family had the chance to experience it. What I liked most was the feeling of standing close to the waterfall and listening to the rushing sound of the cool water. Nature is truly amazing!”

Besides the waterfall's allure, below, when the water recedes, are clusters of table-like rocks revealing undulating formations stretching for about 200 meters. Tourists can swim and take photos to capture the picturesque scenery here.

Standing Waterfall - a symphony of rocks

Standing Waterfall, located in Doan Ket commune, Bu Dang district, is an attractive tourist destination. The journey from Duc Phong town to the waterfall is quite easy, only about 7.3 km. Cars can reach the waterfall directly. At the main point of the waterfall, the water has receded considerably at this time, revealing large, vertical rock pillars. The water cascades down with a roaring, white foam day and night, providing a refreshing and enjoyable experience for visitors as they immerse themselves in the cool water pouring down from above. Above and below the waterfall, many large and small rocks are clustered together, forming a long and beautiful rocky stream. Each rock is like a musical note, harmonizing with the resounding sounds of nature to create a unique symphony of rocks.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy from Doan Ket commune shared: “My family lives near this waterfall. Every year, from October to March of the following year, people can come here to swim because the water level is not too high. The special thing about this waterfall is that there are many ancient trees along both sides of the stream, so tourists feel very comfortable here because they can breathe fresh air.”

Phen Waterfall - a green gem in the forest

The journey to Phen Waterfall in Bu Gia Map commune, Bu Gia Map district, is somewhat more challenging. The final nearly 2km stretch to reach the waterfall requires almost entirely motorbike or walking. Despite its rather rugged terrain, the waterfall has recently attracted many young people eager to experience it.

The waterfall has three tiers, the bottom tier resembling a giant stone bridge spanning a small stream below, surrounded by steep, rugged hills. Where the water cascades down, it forms a wide lake. In this season, the water is clear and blue; viewed from above, the lake looks like a large gem. This is also where locals enjoy swimming in the waterfall. Adjacent to the lake is a wide, long clearing where visitors can rest and relax. From this perspective, the waterfall appears like a large curtain amidst the majestic natural landscape.

The Phèn Waterfall is as peaceful as a white silk ribbon amidst the mountains and forests of Bù Gia Mập.

Ms. Bui Thi Huong, an employee of the Dak Glun 2 Hydropower Plant in Bu Gia Map commune, said: “Phen Waterfall has been around for a long time, but for the past 2-3 years, every Saturday and Sunday, many groups of tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong have come here asking for directions to the waterfall. I've been to the waterfall many times before, so I know the way and can guide them. From October to March of the following year, the waterfall is clear and beautiful, and people can enjoy themselves and admire the scenery. If it's later than that, there might not be any water left in the waterfall.”

It's impossible to give an exact count of the number of waterfalls in Binh Phuoc, because besides the well-known locations, there are still hidden waterfalls in complex terrains, hills, slopes, and pristine forests. This is also very attractive to those who like to experience and explore new and interesting things from nature. And each known waterfall can add to the list of attractive tourist destinations on the Binh Phuoc experiential tourism map.
