Considered the "Green Pearl" of Ha Tinh province, Vu Quang National Park - ASEAN Heritage Park is a common home to many species of animals and plants with a diverse ecosystem.
Vu Quang National Park embraces the entire Ngan Truoi basin - a majestic river in the middle of the Truong Son mountain range. In the upstream, Ngan Truoi River is likened to a giant snake winding through rugged mountains. In the downstream of this river, Ngan Truoi Lake was formed in late 2017, after 8 years of construction, becoming the 3rd largest reservoir in Vietnam. With an area of about 40km2, Ngan Truoi Lake not only supplies water for agricultural, industrial, aquaculture, and daily life production, ensuring the ecological environment, but is also an area with a charming river landscape amidst majestic mountains.
