Khanh Hoa ranked 12th in the provincial tourism development index ranking in 2024

The above report was developed by the Private Economic Development Research Board (under the Prime Minister's Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform) to support localities in building a comprehensive, fast and sustainable tourism development strategy. The VTDI 2024 index set includes 17 pillars, 111 indicators standardized on a scale of 1 to 7, collected from tourism business surveys and quantitative data sources. The indicators are divided into 5 main groups: Favorable environment; policies and conditions for tourism development; infrastructure and services; tourism resources; and tourism sustainability.

Among the 30 localities selected for evaluation, Da Nang City leads the ranking with 4.89 points, followed by Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Thua Thien - Hue and Hai Phong. Dak Lak is the last locality with 3.66 points. Although Khanh Hoa is one of the key localities for tourism, the ranking result is only 12th, showing that there are still many indicators that need to be improved to improve the ranking position.

The number of Russian tourists coming to Khanh Hoa is increasing.

According to the Private Economic Development Research Board, the publication of VTDI helps provinces and cities promote their strengths and overcome their weaknesses, thereby promoting cooperation, sharing experiences and good examples; especially focusing on sustainability; regularly monitoring and improving VTDI indicators. Thereby, contributing to improving Vietnam's Tourism and Travel Development Index in the coming years; positively contributing to overall socio-economic growth.
