Inauguration and handover of the place of worship of comrade To Dinh Cam

(LĐ online) - On the morning of December 11, a working delegation of the Provincial Military Command led by Colonel Nguyen Thanh Quang - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, conducted the handover and inauguration of the place of worship of comrade To Dinh Cam in Da Huoai district.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Quang - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command delivered a speech at the handover of the worship place for comrade To Dinh Cam.

Comrade To Dinh Cam (alias To Tien Luc) was born in 1922 and died in 2017. He was one of 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army. During his revolutionary activities as well as when he returned to his hometown, he always upheld the steadfast, indomitable spirit and heroic spirit of a revolutionary soldier; he was always modest, simple and compassionate, always closely associated with the people, promoting the good traditional qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".

Local government representatives attended the handover ceremony.

Recently, the Ministry of National Defense supported the family with 80 million VND to renovate and upgrade the place of worship of comrade To Dinh Cam. This is an activity to show recognition and gratitude for the great contributions of the comrade. At the same time, it shows affection and responsibility towards those who have contributed to the revolution, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the Vietnamese people. This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

The Provincial Military Command has implemented this task. After more than 1 month of effort and high sense of responsibility, the project has been completed with quality.

On this occasion, the working delegation of the Provincial Military Command also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Phan Thi Tu (95 years old), residing in Quang Tri commune, Da Huoai district.
