BUILDING A GOVERNMENT THAT IS TRULY CLOSER TO THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE
Lac Duong commune was established by merging three communes: Da Sar, Da Nhim, and Da Chais of the former Lac Duong district. With a total area of 828.01 km2, it comprises 14 villages, 3,390 households, and a population of 14,525 people; of which, 11,978 are ethnic minorities, accounting for 82.4% of the commune's total population.
Observations at the Lac Duong Commune Public Administrative Service Center on the morning of July 1st showed a cheerful and vibrant working atmosphere. Officials, civil servants, and employees at the Center immediately got to work to serve and resolve administrative procedures for the people.
In addition to the application reception area, the Center also provides an automatic queue number dispensing machine and computers for citizens to look up administrative procedures. At the same time, the Digital Transformation Team, comprised of youth union members proficient in information technology, is always on standby to assist citizens in using online public services.
Even though it was only the beginning of the workday, many people had already arrived at the Center to carry out administrative procedures. Transactions proceeded in an orderly and convenient manner thanks to the software system and timely support from staff. Ms. Cil Phi Criêu K'Thiên, who came to register her marriage, shared: “I am very satisfied with the attentive guidance from the staff; the procedures were quick and efficient, and I didn't have to wait long.”
Sharing the same enthusiastic sentiment, Mr. Cil Pam Ha Hai said: “Today, I came to have some documents certified. Although it is the first day of operation of the new commune, I found the procedures to be quick, the staff provided attentive guidance, the queue numbers were clear, and the process was streamlined. I am very happy about this change; previously, many procedures required going to the district center, more than 30 kilometers away, but now I only need to go to the Public Administrative Center right in the commune.”
Mr. Pham Hong Thai, Deputy Director of the Lac Duong Commune Public Administrative Service Center, said: “Since the commune is mainly inhabited by ethnic minorities, every official, civil servant, and employee at the Center strives to wholeheartedly guide and support people in applying digital platforms when participating in resolving administrative procedures. Therefore, we always aim for a friendly approach, quick and efficient procedure resolution, and prioritize the satisfaction of citizens and businesses.”
PERFECTING THE LEGAL SYSTEM AND PUTTING IT INTO OPERATION
On the first working day of the two-tiered local government system, this morning, the Party Committee of Lac Duong commune held a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee; and the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the commune, term 2020-2025. Immediately following the meetings of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Party Committee, the People's Council of Lac Duong commune held its first session of the first term, 2021-2026.
At the meeting, the Commune People's Council announced the Resolutions of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council on: Appointing the Chairman, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Council, and Heads of the Committees of the Lac Duong Commune People's Council, term 2021-2026; Appointing the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Lac Duong Commune People's Committee, term 2021-2026; and announcing the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the Commune People's Council on appointing the positions of members of the Commune People's Committee, approving the Deputy Heads of the Commune People's Council Committees and members who are part-time representatives of the Commune People's Council, term 2021-2026.
The Commune People's Council considered and decided on the establishment of the Commune People's Council Committees; and the establishment of specialized agencies under the Commune People's Committee. At the same time, it approved the plan for organizing the regular session of the Commune People's Council in 2025; and the tasks for socio -economic development and ensuring national defense and security in Lac Duong commune for the last six months of 2025.
These are crucial contents for promptly concretizing the province's policies and directives, ensuring uniformity and consistency in state management, as well as guaranteeing continuous and timely operation, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the political apparatus's administration and operation.
The first session of the People's Council of Lac Duong commune is an important milestone, a continuation, inheritance, and development of revolutionary traditions and potential advantages for sustainable and comprehensive development; creating a legal framework for the local government apparatus to operate uniformly, effectively, and in accordance with regulations; meeting the requirements of reforming state management, with the goal of improving people's lives and building a government that serves and works for the people.
