Inauguration of the project to renovate and upgrade the A6 base

Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Major General Nguyen Van Thien - Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard; Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Police, Phu Quy and Ham Thuan Nam districts, Phan Thiet City and Tanh Linh district.

Provincial leaders and delegates pulled the ribbon to inaugurate the project to renovate and upgrade the A6 - Hon Hai facility.

Base point A6 - Hon Hai was built in 2004. Over a long period of time and under the impact of harsh climate, the project has degraded and needs to be restored and upgraded to continue to promote its role and mission as a milestone affirming Vietnam's sovereignty at sea. Implementing the policy of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Border Guard Command has proactively developed a restoration and upgrading project, while mobilizing social resources and contributing funds for implementation. The restoration and upgrading project of base point A6 started on April 1, 2025. With a positive, urgent, proactive spirit to overcome harsh weather conditions, the project has been completed on schedule.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh praised the sense of responsibility, efforts and determination of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard and the contributions of the sponsor in implementing the construction, renovation and upgrading of this particularly important project .

To continue protecting the sovereignty, sovereign rights of the sea and islands and ensuring security and order in the province's maritime border areas in the new situation, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Party Committee and Border Guard Command to comprehensively and synchronously deploy border work, correctly assess the situation of the sea route to advise and propose measures to fight and firmly protect the sovereignty and sovereign rights of the sea and islands in all situations.
