Inauguration and putting into operation Rach Mieu 2 Bridge

On the morning of August 19, in the joyful atmosphere of the entire Party, people and army competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, towards the 14th National Party Congress, in Dong Thap, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Long province and the People's Committee of Dong Thap province to organize the inauguration ceremony and put into operation the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces.

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former member of the Politburo, Chairwoman of the 13th and 14th National Assembly; Nguyen Hoa Binh - Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government; Pham Minh Ha - Deputy Minister of Construction; Do Thanh Trung - Deputy Minister of Finance; Le Quoc Phong - Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee; Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Permanent Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee.

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge construction investment project is one of the projects included in the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 projects and works with a total investment of VND 1,280,000 billion to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge construction investment project connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces started construction on March 29, 2022. The project is considered a symbol of the self-reliance of the Vietnamese bridge workers. Through this project, it once again affirms the bridge-building level of the Vietnamese engineers and workers who have completely mastered the design and construction of large and complex projects such as cable-stayed bridges.
