Inauguration of the bridge and bypass project in Son Duong commune center

On the morning of August 19, groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for 250 projects and works were held simultaneously across the country at 80 locations to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Attending the event at the central location were General Secretary To Lam; Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; and other Party and State leaders. The ceremony was held online from the central location (Vietnam Exhibition Center, Hanoi) to 80 locations in 34 provinces and cities.

In Tuyen Quang province, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province simultaneously organized at two locations the inauguration ceremony of the bridge and bypass road in Son Duong commune center and the launching ceremony of the Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School project in Thanh Thuy commune.

Attending the inauguration ceremony of the bridge and bypass road in Son Duong commune center at Son Duong commune bridge point, the Central leaders included comrade Nguyen Hai Trung, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; representative leaders of the Ministry of Public Security .

On the side of Tuyen Quang province, there were comrades: Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Provincial Party Committee; leaders of provincial agencies and units, leaders of communes, consulting and design units, construction contractors and a large number of people from all walks of life in the area.

Opening up new urban development space

The project to invest in the construction of a bridge and bypass road in Son Duong town (now Son Duong commune) from Km183 to Km188 on National Highway 37, with a total length of about 4.45 km, belongs to group B project, level II road traffic works, level III bridge, with a total investment of 329.84 billion VND.

In which, the road section has a total length of more than 4 km, designed according to the secondary urban main street standard TCVN104-2007, design speed 50km/h; Son Duong bridge project has a total length of 419.86m, designed according to Vietnamese Standard TCVN 11823:2017.

This is a key project of great significance to Tuyen Quang province, aiming to help reduce traffic on National Highway 37 through the Central Road of Son Duong commune, avoid congestion and accidents, meet the traffic needs of the people, open up new urban development space, and promote urban development on both sides of the Pho Day River.

At the same time, improve and complete the transportation system, create conditions for effective exploitation of all resources, serve convenient traffic, contribute to economic growth and economic restructuring for Son Duong district (now Son Duong commune). Thereby meeting the increasing transportation needs of Tuyen Quang province.

During the implementation process, the project faced many difficulties and challenges, especially difficulties in site clearance, relocation of many technical infrastructure works, complex geology, unfavorable weather... However, with the strong and close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, and local authorities have unanimously coordinated; contractors, engineers, and workers have stayed at the construction site day and night, "eating and sleeping in tents", regardless of the sun or rain, and especially the sharing and consensus of the people when handing over every inch of land to the project. Up to now, the project has been completed and put into use.

Marking a new development step in the province's transport infrastructure and educational infrastructure.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that this is an event of important political significance, demonstrating the deep concern of the Party and State for the province. Today's event is also a very important milestone in the process of gradually perfecting the technical infrastructure system and social infrastructure to serve the socio-economic development of the province and is an honor for the Party Committee, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province on the common happy day of the whole country.

With the aim of removing "bottlenecks" in traffic infrastructure, creating growth momentum, promoting socio-economic development of the province. The project to build a bridge and bypass road in the center of Son Duong commune was invested in to implement a breakthrough in traffic infrastructure according to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.

After more than 3 years of construction, with the determination and efforts of the investor, the Project Management Board, the participation of local authorities and the unanimous support of the people, the project has been completed, opening up a new urban development space, developing synchronous infrastructure, attracting investment for socio-economic development; connecting more conveniently to the Tan Trao National Special Relic Site, contributing to promoting heritage values, promoting revolutionary tourism, and educating historical traditions for the younger generation.

To complete the bridge and bypass project in Son Duong commune center, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the efforts of the investor, the Project Management Board, departments, branches, Son Duong Commune People's Committee; the contractors, consulting units participating in the project have closely coordinated in the project implementation process; commended the agencies, units, and households who agreed, supported, and complied with the State's regulations, actively coordinated with the authorities and investors to promptly clear and hand over the construction site to implement the project to complete it according to the design, ensuring the quality, technical and aesthetic standards of the project and on schedule.

At the same time, the investor, the project management board and contractors are required to continue to review and complete all work of the project in accordance with the approved design; promptly work with specialized agencies and Son Duong commune to organize inspection, acceptance, and handover of the project for exploitation and use according to regulations; perform well the maintenance work to ensure technical, aesthetic and absolute safety during the exploitation and use process as well as maximize the investment efficiency of the project.

At the ceremony, delegates watched the online and live television bridge of 80 points of the inauguration program, groundbreaking projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) organized by the Central Government and performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the investment project to build a bridge and bypass road in the center of Son Duong commune, at the Son Duong commune bridge point.

Speaking at the Central bridge, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and commended the ministries, departments, branches, localities, investors, construction units and construction units for accelerating the completion of the proposed national key projects. They have promoted the spirit of overcoming the sun and rain, working in 3 shifts and 4 shifts, working through holidays and Tet holidays to ensure the proposed progress.

He emphasized that 2025 is the year of many important events for the country, the year of organizing Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, the starting point of a new era, an era of prosperous and civilized development. Therefore, in order to quickly put the works into operation to serve the goal of national development in the new era, he requested investors, localities and related units to organize the management, operation and exploitation, use of the works and projects inaugurated today to ensure safety, promote investment efficiency, ensure a bright, green, clean and beautiful environment.
