The event was honored with the presence of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of Tanzania Cosato David Chumi, Director of the Asia-Australia Department, along with many representatives of specialized Departments of the Tanzanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and many Ambassadors and Heads of diplomatic missions of countries in Tanzania.

The event was accompanied by Halotel-Tanzania, Lumitel-Burundi and the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in the region.
At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Vu Thanh Huyen reviewed important historical milestones and the 80-year journey of the heroic history of the Vietnamese people, from when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the transformation being implemented in Vietnam today.
The Ambassador also recalled the beautiful friendship between President Ho Chi Minh and the first President of Tanzania - Julius Nyerere - who always supported and stood side by side with Vietnam.

The inauguration of the Ho Chi Minh Space at the Embassy headquarters has brought the warmth of traditional friendship from the past, from history between the two leaders of the two countries on two continents as a reminder of the good friendship, the loyalty of the two leaders and the two peoples who have been attached to each other since the early days of the nation's founding.
At the same time, affirming the wish that Vietnam continues to build and nurture this precious and loyal friendship on the current and future development journey with Tanzania in particular and with countries in the East African region in general.
2025 is also a pivotal year in the foreign relations between Vietnam and Tanzania, with the promotion of many working delegations and cooperation mechanisms, and the celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In the East African region, Tanzania is Vietnam's oldest traditional friend.
2025 is also the year to celebrate the full and odd years of establishing diplomatic relations with a number of countries in the region such as: 55 years with Somalia, 50 years with Burundi, 50 years with Rwanda and 30 years with Kenya.
