3 Northeastern provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia congratulate Vietnam on National Day

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on September 3, the delegation of the three Northeastern provinces (Preah Vihear, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri - Kingdom of Cambodia) had a working session with the leaders of Gia Lai province. This visit contributed to further deepening the great friendship and special solidarity between the two countries and peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.

At the meeting, the leaders of the three northeastern provinces of Cambodia expressed their joy at the achievements of Vietnam in general and Gia Lai province in particular under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam ; the leaders of the three northeastern provinces of Cambodia believe that under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam will develop further in all aspects and fields in the coming time.

The parties expect that, with the loyal affection, tradition of solidarity, high political determination and synchronous coordination, the cooperative relationship between Gia Lai province and the three northeastern provinces of Cambodia in the coming time will continue to develop strongly, substantially and effectively, achieving many more good results, contributing to further deepening the great friendship and special solidarity between the two countries and peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Receiving the delegation of 3 northeastern provinces of Cambodia, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh said: Gia Lai and the northeastern provinces of Cambodia have a lot of potential for cooperation for mutual development, therefore in the coming time, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee hopes that the northeastern provinces of Cambodia will cooperate and further promote cooperation in all economic, cultural and social fields.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh sincerely thanked the delegations for taking their precious time to visit Gia Lai province on this important historical occasion. He also sent his best wishes to the Party Committee, Government and people of the Northeastern provinces of Cambodia for good health, happiness and success.

It is known that in recent times, the friendly and traditional neighborly relations between Gia Lai province and the northeastern provinces of Cambodia have been continuously consolidated, strengthened and developed strongly. The parties regularly organize exchange activities, visits and congratulate each other on the occasion of the two countries' holidays and New Year; sign many comprehensive cooperation documents in many fields; effectively deploy and implement high-level agreements between the governments of Vietnam and Cambodia and the Minutes of Cooperation Agreement between the parties.

In addition, the exchange activities between the people of Gia Lai province and the northeastern provinces of Cambodia have been enhanced. Cooperation activities between Gia Lai province and the northeastern provinces of Cambodia have achieved many good results in all fields, especially in the fields of trade and import and export. The total import and export turnover of Gia Lai province through the Le Thanh - Oyadav International Border Gate in 2024 reached 202 million USD, and in the first 5 months of 2025 it is estimated to reach 118 million USD.

Gia Lai currently has 19 investment projects in Cambodia with a total registered capital of over 913 million USD. Thereby, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national security and defense, and improving the lives of local people. These results have affirmed the right policy and direction in comprehensive development cooperation between Gia Lai province and the northeastern provinces of Cambodia.
