In his opening remarks at the training course, Pham Nam Hong, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Lao Cai province, emphasized that in the context of increasingly deep international integration, equipping officials with knowledge and skills in foreign affairs is an urgent requirement, contributing to improving the quality and professionalism of the locality's foreign affairs work.

During the training course, participants received updates on the current global and regional situation and Vietnam's foreign relations from Associate Professor, Doctor, and Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs , former Director of the Diplomatic Academy, and former Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to the United Nations.
In addition, trainees were also taught practical content such as: receiving non-refundable aid and managing the activities of non-governmental organizations; organizing international conferences and seminars; skills in organizing foreign affairs events and foreign affairs protocol at the local level.
Taking place over two days (October 23-24), the training course not only raised awareness of the role and significance of foreign affairs and international integration but also standardized organizational and diplomatic protocol skills, contributing to building a positive image and enhancing the position of Lao Cai province in international cooperation and exchange.
