Launching the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ca Mau province after the merger

On October 23, the Executive Committee of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ca Mau province held a review of the first 9 months of the year and deployed the work plan for the fourth quarter of 2025.

According to the Ca Mau Provincial Electronic Information Portal, the Conference announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee to allow the merger of the Ca Mau Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and the Bac Lieu Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations into the Ca Mau Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations (after the merger), and at the same time recognized and appointed the Union's personnel. Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations.

According to the report presented at the Conference, in the first 9 months of the year, the Standing Office of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ca Mau province has proactively and actively advised and implemented tasks to ensure quality and progress. Internal administrative, management and coordination work has been carried out effectively; notably the activities of connecting and mobilizing foreign non- governmental aid projects; working with donors; starting, accepting and handing over projects in accordance with regulations.

The Union of Friendship Organizations of Ca Mau province has coordinated and supported the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association of the province to award scholarships to children in difficult circumstances under the Scholarship Program of The Corea Peace 3000 Organization.

In 9 months, the Union received 14 new foreign non-governmental projects with a total value of 47,272 billion VND, and at the same time strongly mobilized domestic donors to support the construction of 10 rural traffic bridges worth 4,285 billion VND.

The conference focused on discussing difficulties, obstacles and proposing solutions and directions for post-merger activities, aiming to improve the operational efficiency of member associations. In the coming time, the Ca Mau Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations will continue to carry out activities of peace, solidarity, friendship and people-to-people cooperation, perfecting the organizational structure, ensuring smooth and effective operations in the new period.
