On the afternoon of December 9th, the Da Nang City People's Committee hosted a meeting with Mr. Woo Seung Hee, District Chief of Yeongam County, Jeollanam Province (South Korea), who visited and worked in Da Nang. This visit will open up many new opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the fields of tourism, marine economy, agriculture, and overseas employment.

During the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu provided an overview of Da Nang's socio -economic situation after the administrative unit merger. Mr. Ho Quang Buu stated that the city is focusing on improving infrastructure, enhancing service quality, and expanding international cooperation to promote sustainable development.

The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee discussed with the delegation the possibility of expanding cooperation between Da Nang and Yeongam district in many fields, and also discussed promoting the signing of an Agreement to establish friendly relations between Yeongam district and Hai Van ward. This is considered an important direction for cooperation in the coming period.

The leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee expressed their hope that in the future, the two localities will continue to strengthen cultural exchange programs and community connections, thereby contributing to further consolidating the friendship and close ties between Da Nang and Yeongam district.

Mr. Ho Quang Buu stated that promoting people-to-people exchanges, fostering labor exchanges, strengthening agricultural cooperation, and implementing activities that bring practical benefits to the community are always identified as key priorities in the cooperation orientation between the two localities.

Also at the meeting, Mr. Woo Seung Hee, District Head of Yeongam County (Jeollanam Province, South Korea), thanked the leaders of Da Nang city for the warm welcome and said that this was the first time the Yeongam delegation had visited and worked in Da Nang.

Mr. Woo Seung Hee expects the trip to open up many new opportunities for cooperation, especially in the fields of tourism, marine economy, agriculture, and overseas employment, based on the similarities in geographical conditions between the two localities.
