A survey of 2,837 students resulted in the selection of 980 for grade 6.

On the morning of June 15th, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) officially conducted the entrance exam for 6th grade at three secondary schools. With 2,837 students participating in the exam, the three schools will select 980 students for 6th grade.

According to Thu Duc City's plan, the survey results will be announced on June 22nd. From June 22nd to 23rd: Applications for review will be accepted, and on June 27th, the results of the review and the survey will be announced.

From 8:00 AM on June 28th to 5:00 PM on July 5th: Admitted students must submit their enrollment documents. After this period, if students do not submit their enrollment documents, their names will be removed from the list of admitted students.

The enrollment quotas for 6th grade at each school are as follows: Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School will enroll 9 6th grade classes (including at least 4 integrated English classes) with 315 students. Hoa Lu Secondary School will enroll 11 6th grade classes (including at least 2 integrated English classes) with 385 students. Binh Tho Secondary School will enroll 8 6th grade classes (including at least 3 integrated English classes) with 280 students.

The total number of applications for the survey at the three schools was 2,837, compared to a total enrollment quota of 980 students/28 classes.

Of the three junior high schools conducting entrance exams for 6th grade in Thu Duc City, Hoa Lu Junior High School had the highest percentage of applicants. Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Education and Training Department of Thu Duc City, stated that as of June 2nd, the number of applications for each school was as follows:

Tran Quoc Toan 1 Junior High School: 1,025 applications received, enrollment quota is 315 students/9 classes. Hoa Lu Junior High School: 1,116 applications received, enrollment quota is 385 students/11 classes. Binh Tho Junior High School: 696 applications received, enrollment quota is 280 students/8 classes.

Thus, the total number of applications for the survey at the three schools is 2,837, compared to a total enrollment quota of 980 students/28 classes.

Assessment content: Candidates will be assessed on the following competencies: Language (English, Vietnamese - essay writing); mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences , social sciences (history - geography); application and problem-solving in real-world situations. Format: Consists of multiple-choice and essay sections. Multiple-choice section: Candidates will complete a 20-question multiple-choice test in English on their understanding of natural sciences, social sciences, and the application and problem-solving skills in real-world situations within 30 minutes.

Essay section: Candidates will complete the assessment within 60 minutes, including: English proficiency assessment: reading comprehension and writing. Candidates must complete the assessment in English.

The test assesses mathematical and logical thinking skills, as well as reading comprehension and essay writing abilities. Candidates will complete the test in Vietnamese.

The time allotted for all sections of the survey is 90 minutes.
