Survey of new tourism products in Ninh Binh

The field trip to explore new tourism products is a practical activity aimed at promoting and developing tourism in Ninh Binh province.

Accordingly, the delegation visited and experienced the culture at Khe Coc Island in the Trang An Eco-tourism Area; experienced a time-travel tour at the Dinosaur Park (Ninh Khanh ward, Ninh Binh city); visited Thai Vi Temple and took a boat trip to admire the scenery of the Tam Coc rice fields. They also attended the opening ceremony of the Ninh Binh Tourism Week with the theme "The Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An".

Among them, Khe Coc Island, part of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, only recently opened to tourists during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024. This place recreates a corner of the cultural life of the ancient Trang An inhabitants after the period of sea regression.

This provides visitors with a vivid, real-life glimpse into the lives of people in the past; allows them to learn about Trang An culture and enjoy artistic performances, along with experiential activities such as: dressing up as indigenous people, watching indigenous dances, and harvesting crops and exchanging them for gifts.

Dinosaur Park – in addition to its impressive scale with nearly 200 ancient dinosaur models and impressive amusement park space, is developing a time-traveling experience called "Footprints of Prehistoric Humans" and enjoying historical storytelling through light sculpture art. The diverse combination of activities contributes to the destination's attractiveness, inspiring visitors to learn about culture and history.

The survey team also participated in the Tam Coc rice field experience program, which included agricultural rituals, a pedestrian street experience, and folk art performances.

During the meeting, the delegation members highly appreciated the efforts of Ninh Binh province's tourism industry in investing in facilities and infrastructure, and in renewing tourism products. The exploitation of cultural and historical elements, combined with entertainment and recreation in tourism products, has made destinations more attractive, creating "multi-in-one" tourism products that simultaneously serve diverse groups of tourists.

This will create favorable conditions for travel agencies to connect and develop tour routes in the future. Ninh Binh Tourism Week is an annual event organized by Ninh Binh province for many years now.

On the evening of June 1st, at the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area, the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee organized the opening ceremony of the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 with the theme "The Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An". The opening ceremony attracted thousands of local people and tourists.

Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 will take place over 8 days, from June 1st to June 8th, 2024, on a provincial scale.

This is one of the attractive and meaningful activities in the series of events celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site (2014-2024).

This is also an opportunity to strengthen the promotion and introduction of Ninh Binh's tourism products and services to domestic and international tourists, while affirming Ninh Binh's tourism brand as a unique, safe, friendly, high-quality, and attractive destination; it is a practical activity to implement solutions to stimulate demand and attract tourists to Ninh Binh during the off-season.
