Cave C3-C4 is part of a cave system formed during the eruption of the Nam B'Lang volcano in Buon Choah commune and Nam Da commune, Krong No district, about 689,000 - 199,000 years ago. The cave is of primary origin, formed by lava flows to the North and Northwest of the Nam B'Lang crater. Cave C3-C4 has a total length of 967.8m, of which Cave C3 is 716.3m long; Cave C4 is 251.5m long.

This is one of the most beautiful and unique caves in the cave system of Dak Nong UNESCO Geopark. The cave has historical, cultural and tourist value with unique characteristics in its formation mechanism.

In order to build a dossier for ranking the relic, recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has conducted research, collected and synthesized information and documents; asked for opinions from the Department of Cultural Heritage, geological experts from the Institute of Geological Sciences and Minerals on the relic's cross-section dossier, cultural heritage conservation plans and the process of building a scientific dossier to propose the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to rank the national relic for the scenic spot of cave C3 - C4.

After researching and consulting with experts, the Dak Nong Provincial Museum proposed a plan to demarcate the relic site with a total expected area of 26.5 hectares, including area I and area II.
In which, protection area I has a zoned area of 6 hectares, which is the area containing the original elements constituting the relic (including the cave mouth and the entire cave system C3-C4). Protection area II has a zoned area of 20.5 hectares, which is the area surrounding or adjacent to area I, this is the area to promote the value of the relic.

The survey team agreed to provide coordinates and boundaries of the protected areas of the C3 - C4 caves so that the Nam Nung Nature Reserve Management Board can update the location, facilitating coordination in management and protection in the coming time.
