Unexpected reward for the force preventing forest land encroachment

On the morning of August 28, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Rve commune, Nguyen Van Hoa, said that the locality has completed the dossier on the case of forest land encroachment in the area and handed it over to the Provincial People's Committee for further handling in accordance with the provisions of law.

Previously, at around 0:30 a.m. on August 24, the patrol team of the Commune Police in coordination with the Ia Rve Border Guard Station discovered two subjects using a tractor to dig up forest land in area 9, sub-area 224, managed by the Commune People's Committee.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Social Evils of the commune mobilized forces, organized an ambush, successfully arrested the subjects, and seized all related vehicles and exhibits, and prepared a case for handling according to regulations.

Ia Rve commune authorities promptly arrived at the scene to prevent the encroachment of forest land.

At the scene, the authorities caught two subjects, H.D.H. (born in 1991, residing in village 6, Ia Rve commune) and TVL (born in 1993, from Phu Nghia commune, Dong Nai province, registered residence in village 5, Ia Rve commune) using a plow to plow about 1.3 hectares of forest land. Initially, TVL confessed that he was hired by H.D.H. to plow the land.

Ia Rve Commune People's Committee assessed that this is one of the serious cases of encroachment on forestry land in the area recently. Therefore, the locality will continue to promote information and propaganda work through the loudspeaker system, village meetings, integrated into community activities, especially promoting the role of village elders and prestigious people in mobilizing people to strictly comply with the law on land and forestry. At the same time, strengthen strict management of forest land area, prevent re-encroachment and re-cultivation, contributing to raising the community's sense of responsibility to protect forests.

Representatives of the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Social Evils of Ia Rve commune presented Certificates of Merit to two individuals who prevented the encroachment of forest land in the area.

On August 25, the People's Committee of the commune organized a surprise award ceremony for two groups including Ia Rve Commune Police, Ia Rve Border Guard Station and two individuals, Senior Lieutenant Luong Van Chung (Deputy Head of Commune Police), Senior Lieutenant Tran The Hoang (officer of Ia Rve Border Guard Station) for their outstanding achievements in detecting and preventing forest land encroachment in the area.

Timely rewards for collectives and individuals with achievements not only recognize and encourage the spirit of grassroots forces but also contribute to deterring and preventing encroachment on forest land, strengthening people's trust in the work of maintaining security and order in border areas.
