When Hong Nhung "Wonders"

“The return of diva Hong Nhung after a serious illness is an emotional and joyful mark for fans. Adding to the surprise is the release of a song that is completely different from Hong Nhung's familiar style, accompanied by a surreal MV inspired by world masterpieces,” musician Huy Tuan commented on Hong Nhung's "Tu cau" project.

After more than four decades of wandering on the musical journey, Tu moi is considered one of Hong Nhung's greatest products in terms of scale and dedication to date.

The story in the song is expressed with the spirit: despite the sadness, there is no despair, always looking to the future with faith. The combination of modern music with contemporary choreography, unique fashion images and cinematic colors helps Tu Qua spread positive energy, refresh emotions and evoke hope.

With the MV Tu moi , Hong Nhung collaborated with director Phuong Vu (Antiantiart), two young artists Trung Tran, Lope Pham, choreographer Tan Loc, and Arabesque dance troupe to create a contemporary visual language. The MV attracted attention with its groundbreaking visual style, inspired by the surrealist paintings of Belgian artist René Magritte, famous for his painting style that challenges viewers' intuition.

Wondering how to create space, setting, lighting, choreography and fashion together to tell a seamless story, expressing the inner world - where the main character is listened to and has a dialogue with himself. The main scene was staged at the Hanoi Opera House - a space with a strong artistic imprint and also a place that holds many memories for Hong Nhung.

Hong Nhung said she has been singing at the Hanoi Opera House for nearly 40 years but is still amazed by the way of looking at and expressing the beauty, elegance of culture and history, in each frame of the MV Tu moi. The harmony of the classic art of artist René Magritte, between the magical space and the fleeting appearance of a small person, always living with the dream of flying, airy, free, full of love, has made the MV a work of art that can be viewed and felt freely in each person's own way.

“Before questioning life, you should ask yourself first, to know how you have changed. New music, new images, new space, new self…”, Hong Nhung expressed.

With Tu cau , Hong Nhung goes deeper and challenges herself on a new journey, crossing boundaries or ages to be creative. As “Miss Bong” once said, she is living with all the love, hoping that all challenges will pass and the most positive things will come.
