According to Nguyen Thanh Cong, Head of the Cam Lo District Department of Natural Resources and Environment, in implementing the district People's Committee's plan to relocate and inspect environmental protection work at production households in the Cam Thach vermicelli village, Thanh An commune, the unit has coordinated with the Provincial Center for Environmental Resources Monitoring to collect samples to assess the quality of wastewater from vermicelli production in this village. However, the sampling process has encountered many difficulties.
According to the plan, the Provincial Center for Resource and Environmental Monitoring was to collect water samples from four households specializing in vermicelli production in Cam Thach vermicelli village, including the households of Hoang Khuong, Vo Dinh Du, Hoang Thi Hai, and Phan Dinh Phuc. However, samples were only collected from Mr. Hoang Khuong's household.

The reasons include: some households mix wastewater from noodle production with daily household wastewater; some households have temporarily suspended production, claiming that the water used in noodle production is reused for pig farming...
Reportedly, to address environmental pollution in Cam Thach noodle village, the Cam Lo District People's Committee has implemented the construction of a concentrated production area of 3.3 hectares with infrastructure including wastewater treatment, roads, and electricity to relocate households specializing in noodle making away from residential areas.
However, to date, only 1 household has relocated, 4 households have completed infrastructure and workshops but have not yet moved in to start production, 5 households have only laid foundations, and the remaining approximately 10 households have not relocated.
"Based on this sampling, the Provincial Center for Resource and Environmental Monitoring will analyze and assess the level of water pollution in this craft village to help the district determine the next steps for handling the situation. At the same time, the unit will continue to coordinate and collect samples from other households in the coming time," Mr. Cong added.
