What majors are offered in the C03 group?
According to the allocation of subjects for university entrance exams by the Ministry of Education and Training, the C03 group consists of three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and History. This is one of the subject combinations chosen by many candidates because it combines natural and social sciences, helping to develop various skills and opening up many learning and career opportunities.
In the C03 combination, while the History and Mathematics exams are in multiple-choice format to allow candidates flexibility in problem-solving, the Literature exam uses an essay format, encouraging candidates to develop creative thinking and expressive abilities.
Compared to other subject combinations in Group C, Group C03 is considered to have a wider range of majors available for admission. Furthermore, these majors are considered to offer relatively high job opportunities and salaries.
Currently, the C03 group is recruiting students for several majors such as: Marketing, Finance - Banking, Mathematics Education, Literature Education, History Education, Primary School Education, Journalism, Police, Public Administration, Tourism and Travel Service Management, Law, Literature, and Political Science.
Some universities currently accept applications from the C03 subject group.
The People's Security Academy - in 2024, will use the C03 subject group for admissions to the Security Operations major. Last year, the cutoff score for this major ranged from 19.37 to 24.19 points. Depending on the applicant's background and place of residence, the Academy will have a different cutoff score.
Specifically, female candidates (region 8) had the lowest cutoff score at 19.37 points, while the highest cutoff score was for female candidates (region 3) at 24.19 points.
This year, the University of Finance and Business Administration is recruiting students for two majors that accept applications from the C03 subject group: Auditing and Accounting. The university plans to recruit students through four methods: direct admission, admission based on the results of the Hanoi National University's aptitude test, admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam, and admission based on academic transcripts.
In 2023, using the high school graduation exam scores as the admission criteria, the two aforementioned majors had a minimum admission score of 15 points.
The National Economics University is recruiting students for its Public Relations major under the C03 subject group. In 2024, the university plans to recruit 60 students for this major using three methods: considering high school graduation exam scores, direct admission, and combined admission.
In addition to admission based on the C03 subject group, the Public Relations major also accepts applications from the A01, C04, and D01 subject groups. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the school has set tuition fees ranging from 16 to 22 million VND per academic year.
Ho Chi Minh City Open University uses the C03 subject group for admissions to two majors: Tourism and Human Resource Management. In 2023, using the high school graduation exam scores as the admission cutoff, the Tourism major had a cutoff score of 23.4 points and the Human Resource Management major had a cutoff score of 24.3 points.
This year, the school plans to recruit students through four methods: considering high school graduation exam scores, direct admission and priority admission, considering high school academic transcripts, and considering aptitude test scores.
Saigon University uses only the C03 subject group for admission to a single major: Law. In 2024, the university plans to recruit students through three methods: considering entrance exam scores, considering the aptitude test scores of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and considering high school graduation exam scores.
In addition to admissions based on the C03 subject group, the Law major also accepts applications based on the D01 subject group. The cutoff score for admission to the C03 group is 23.87, and for the D01 group it is 22.87.
