Commencement of Package No. 8 in the logistic area (logistics services) Kim Thanh - Ban Vuoc

On the morning of August 19, in Bat Xat commune, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board coordinated with Truong Son Construction Corporation to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of Package No. 8 for leveling the ground and constructing technical infrastructure for plots SX1 and SX2 in the Kim Thanh - Ban Vuoc logistics area. This is an important item serving the site clearance for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.

The project of leveling the ground and constructing technical infrastructure for plots SX1 and SX2 in the Kim Thanh - Ban Vuoc logistics area to serve the site clearance for the investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line was approved for investment by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1470/QD-UBND dated May 6, 2025, with a total investment of 106.4 billion VND from the central budget.

The project covers an area of 19 hectares, including leveling the ground, building an internal traffic system, installing power supply, water supply and drainage systems and other essential infrastructure.

Truong Son Construction Corporation is the contractor, with an expected implementation period of 135 days, from August to December 2025.

The main objective of the project is to create a favorable site for arranging and relocating production facilities in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park, serving the site clearance work for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line.

This project is expected to contribute to removing infrastructure bottlenecks, promoting regional connectivity, and increasing the competitiveness of the Lao Cai international border gate area.

Comrade Hoang Thi Thanh Binh emphasized that the rapid and synchronous implementation of key infrastructure projects in the Kim Thanh - Ban Vuoc logistics area is extremely important. This is not only a necessary preparation step for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, but also creates a premise for Lao Cai to maximize the advantages of the border gate, develop modern logistics services, and promote border trade in the coming time.

When put into use, the project will not only serve the clearance of the railway line, but also directly create jobs for thousands of workers, contributing to improving the lives of the people, especially the ethnic minorities in the border areas of Lao Cai.
