Developing startup ideas
In April 2026, a group of students from Bac Ninh Industrial College (Vo Cuong Ward) won first prize at the 8th National Entrepreneurship Festival for Students - 2026, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training , for their project "Heat Pump for Underfloor Heating and Domestic Hot Water".
This is a solution that improves the quality of life, aiming for convenience, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness, with practical applications.

Mr. Nguyen Van Me, Vice Principal of the school, shared: “This is just one of many student startup projects that have been applied in practice. To operate effectively, Bac Ninh Industrial College has established a Student Startup Club.”
In addition to regularly organizing meetings to exchange new ideas and startup implementation processes in specific fields and projects, the Club also organizes the "Outstanding Startup and Innovation Ideas" competition to promote the entrepreneurial spirit and encourage students to change their mindset, dare to think, and dare to act to turn ideas into reality.
| From the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year until now, students in the province have implemented more than 150 startup projects in fields related to daily life. |
The projects of the students all stem from practical needs and meet the requirements of the strong digital transformation in the current period, such as: the project "EV SMARTCARE - On-site electric car maintenance service - In-depth care for electric cars"; and the project "Smart parking lot" aimed at solving the problem of parking space shortage in urban areas and densely populated areas.
With the goal of innovation and creativity in teaching, educational institutions in the province have recently implemented the STEM education method in all subjects. Schools have maximized creativity in teachers' teaching methods, creating a foundation for students to develop their ability to apply lessons to real-world situations.
In each subject, teachers focus on teaching by applying theory to practice, discussing topics, and organizing STEM design and creation competitions. STEM lessons have sparked students' enthusiasm for hands-on experience, fostering creative ideas and project implementation. Many students have won high awards in provincial, national, regional, and international science and technology and robotics competitions.
Teacher Dinh Van Thanh, a teacher at Phuc Son No. 1 Primary and Secondary School (Dai Son commune), said: “Although it is a mountainous school with many difficulties, the teachers always focus on cultivating practical knowledge and motivating students to propose ideas and develop their abilities. From the beginning of the school year, the school encourages students to register and propose startup ideas, and guides them on how to implement them.”
In January 2026, Phuc Son No. 1 Primary and Secondary School was honored to have Nguyen Nhat Thien, a student in class 7A, win a Gold Medal at the 2025 International Robotics Competition held in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province (China).
Adapting to the trend of digital transformation
Implementing the "Program to Support Student Entrepreneurship in the period 2026-2035" according to Decision No. 336/QD-TTg dated February 25, 2026, of the Prime Minister, the provincial education sector has developed a plan to support students in developing entrepreneurial ideas. High schools, colleges, and universities have included career guidance and entrepreneurship as an elective subject.
Through their lectures, teachers equip students with fundamental knowledge about starting and developing a career, and cultivate essential skills for entrepreneurship such as networking, presentation skills, fundraising, and teamwork.
Bui The Chinh, a student from Ngo Si Lien High School (Bac Giang ward), said: “With encouragement from our teachers, my classmates and I applied the knowledge we learned to register the project "Research and fabrication of a smart medical bed integrated with AI to support health care and warnings." The project was awarded first prize by the Ministry of Education and Training at the national science and technology competition for junior and senior high school students in the 2025-2026 school year.”

According to the Department of Education and Training, many ideas, models, and products applying algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) to practice are considered suitable for current trends in science and technology development. From the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year to the present, students in the province have implemented more than 150 startup projects in fields related to daily life.
However, young people lack practical experience and the necessary skills to manage and operate production and business activities, leading to difficulties when facing market competition.
In the coming period, educational institutions will intensify propaganda efforts to inspire the will and aspirations for self-reliance and career development among students. They will connect with businesses to provide career counseling, develop new teaching modules on entrepreneurship, and promote the entrepreneurship movement.
Colleges and universities continue to collaborate with businesses to provide internships for students, train them in practical skills, and support their participation in startup projects or competitions. The education sector continues to innovate the content and format of career guidance education to suit different age groups, strengthening teaching methods that emphasize practical learning, hands-on experience, and the application of knowledge to real-world situations.
