When the Nung people's Sli melodies resound in the Xuan Duong Love Market, or the sounds of the Tinh lute and Then singing echo beside the stilt houses, it is vivid proof that cultural identity is truly "alive" within the community.
To achieve this positive transformation, over the past five years, Thai Nguyen province has demonstrated strong political determination by consistently and systematically implementing the strategic projects approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The focus of this phase is on three main pillars: the Project for regularly organizing cultural festivals and exchanges in ethnic minority areas; the Project for cultural and artistic activities serving remote and disadvantaged areas; and the Project for preserving the value of folk songs and dances associated with tourism development in the period 2021-2030.
These policies went beyond mere written documents; they were realized through concrete actions, creating a widespread cultural "wave."
One of Thai Nguyen 's outstanding and sustainable achievements over the past five years is the establishment of a system of cultural and artistic clubs at the grassroots level.
The entire province has established and maintained the operation of 987 cultural, artistic, and sports clubs in communes and wards, bringing together 27,735 members.
It is noteworthy that this movement focuses on quality rather than quantity. Out of nearly 1,000 clubs, 71 out of 243 at the commune level and 49 out of 664 at the village level are directly practicing and preserving folk performing arts that have been recognized by UNESCO or included in the national list of intangible cultural heritage.
Alongside building up local cultural forces, Thai Nguyen has also proactively brought culture to the grassroots. This approach has contributed to narrowing the gap in cultural enjoyment between mountainous and lowland areas.
Implementing the Project to serve remote, border, and island areas, mobile information teams and art troupes have overcome difficulties to bring "spiritual nourishment" to the people.

As a result, the targets for the 2021-2025 period were basically met and exceeded: 100% of remote and disadvantaged areas received cultural services at least 2-3 times per year.
The number of performances, film screenings, and cultural exchanges has increased by an average of 10% each year. Not only focusing on depth at the grassroots level, Thai Nguyen has also affirmed its position on the cultural map of the Northeast region through organizing and participating in large-scale events. The echoes of these major events still linger clearly.
In 2025 alone, Thai Nguyen organized many major cultural events at the regional and national levels, most notably the large-scale "Thai Nguyen - Fragrance and Beauty of Famous Tea" Festival, the 2025 Culture, Sports and Tourism Week with national sports competitions (yoga, traditional martial arts, boat racing), and the Traditional Culture and Arts Exchange Festival of Ethnic Minorities.
In particular, this is the first time a large-scale provincial-level Mid-Autumn Festival has been organized, along with activities honoring reading culture and patriotic emulation, creating a highlight to attract tourists and promote local identity.
At each event, thousands of artisans and athletes from the province brought unique cultural colors, contributing to promoting the image of Thai Nguyen's land and people to friends both domestically and internationally.
