Foreign investors net buy record, VN-Index surpasses 1,300 points

NDO - In the trading session on May 14, the Vietnamese stock market continued to increase, with green covering most industry groups. Foreign investors net bought a record of more than VND 2,276 billion. Banking stocks led the overall market increase, with major contributions from large codes such as: VCB, BID, TCB, MBB... helping the VN-Index increase by 16.3 points at the close of the session, to 1,309.73 points.

Market liquidity continued to increase, with total trading volume on the three exchanges reaching more than 1,228 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 29,572 billion.

Foreign investors had the strongest net buying session since the beginning of the year on all 3 exchanges, with more than VND2,276 billion, focusing on codes FPT (VND540.57 billion), VPB (VND321.48 billion), MWG (VND284.54 billion), HPG (VND181.46 billion), PNJ (VND181.22 billion)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net sales in this session included VHM (155.55 billion VND), MSN (146.46 billion VND), VRE (114.12 billion VND), VNM (111.39 billion VND), VSC (34.88 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the order matching value of this session continued to increase compared to the previous session, reaching more than 22,788 billion VND.

In this session, the stocks that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by more than 16.46 points included: VCB, BID, VPL, FPT, VPB, TCB, LPB, HPG, HDB, VJC.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 3.11 points included: VHM, GVR, VRE, HVN, VNM, VSC, SHB, VGC, VPI, GAS.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks leaned towards green, up 5.66%, mainly from FPT, CMG, ITD, CMT, PIA, PAI...

The group of securities stocks performed positively, increasing by 1.47%, mainly from codes SSI, VCI, VND, HCM, MBS, FUEVFVND, FTS, BSI, SHS... On the contrary, a few codes decreased such as DSE, EVS, BMS...

The majority of banking stocks in this session were green, with an increase of 2.23%, mainly from VCB, BID, CTG, TCB, VPB, ACB, LPB, HDB... Declining codes include STB, SHB, NVB, VAB, EVF, KLB...

Real estate stocks were mixed this session, down 0.41%, mainly from VHM, VRE, VPI, SIP, SZC, NTC, QCG, AGG, NBB... On the contrary, the stocks that increased included VIC, BCM, SSH, KDH, NVL, KBC, KSF, PDR, IDC...

Energy stocks were in the green, up 0.34%, mainly from PVS, PVD, CST, PVB, TVD, NBC, HLC, MDC... Some stocks decreased including TMB, CLM, MGC, PSB, ITS...

The group of raw material stocks this session also had differentiation, down 0.05%, mainly from codes GVR, KSV, VGC, BMP, NTP, PHR, HGM, CSV, PTB... On the contrary, the codes that decreased included HPG, DGC, DCM, DPM, HSG, VCS, NKG...

Insurance stocks recorded an increase of 0.37%, mainly from codes BVH, PVI, VNR, MIG, PGI, PRE, ABI... The decline included BIC...

Retail stocks performed positively this session, increasing by 1.16%, mainly from codes MWG, PLX, PNJ, OIL, DGW, SAS, HHS, PET... On the contrary, the codes that decreased included VFG, CLX, SVC, VPG, PSD, TSC, JVC, VVS, CNC...

* The Vietnamese stock market index increased sharply today, VNXALL-Index closed up 26.04 points (+1.22%), to 2,161.01 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 1,092.86 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 27,388.37 billion. In the whole market, there were 212 stocks increasing in price, 89 stocks remaining unchanged and 158 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 218.88 points, up 0.95 points (+0.44%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 93.22 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 1,467.53 billion. In the whole market, there were 79 stocks increasing in price, 62 stocks remaining unchanged and 81 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed up 4.94 points (+1.14%), to 439.30 points. Trading volume reached over 57.61 million units, equivalent to over VND1,059.57 billion. In the whole market, there were 17 stocks increasing in price, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 8 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 94.89 points, up 0.34 points (+0.36%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 62.35 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 776.80 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 162 stocks increasing in price, 92 stocks remaining unchanged and 111 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 16.3 points (+1.26%), to 1,309.73 points. Liquidity reached over 1,072.93 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND27,327.82 billion. The entire floor had 189 stocks increasing, 53 stocks remaining unchanged and 122 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 15.09 points (+1.09%) and stopped at 1,397.87 points. Liquidity reached more than 545.51 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND16,554.32. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 22 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 7 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are VPB (over 95.58 million units), SSI (over 36.62 million units), HPG (over 34.07 million units), VND (over 21.49 million units), TCB (over 19.72 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are VAF (+6.98%), VNE (+6.97%), HAX (+6.93%), VPL (+6.90%), DHM (+6.89%).
