By the end of July 1st, the price of SJC gold bars, as adjusted by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies, continued to reach new highs, at 118.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 120.3 million VND/ounce for selling - an increase of 400,000 VND/ounce compared to the morning.
In just one day, the price of gold bars increased by 1.5 million VND per tael. This is a very sharp increase in the price of gold bars, bringing the precious metal to its highest level in over a month.
Similarly, 99.99% pure gold rings and jewelry were also listed by businesses at new highs, 114.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 116.8 million VND/ounce for selling - an increase of 300,000 VND. In just one day, each ounce of gold rings also increased by more than 1 million VND.
SJC gold bar prices surged at the end of the day.
Domestic gold prices continue to rise, following the strong upward trend of world prices. This development is quite unexpected, as in the past few weeks, the prices of SJC gold bars and gold rings have fluctuated within a narrow range. Despite the sharp drop in world gold prices, domestic gold prices have only seen a slight downward adjustment.
Conversely, today, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings surged at the end of the day as world prices jumped.
On the international market, at 5:30 PM Vietnam time, the spot gold price adjusted upwards to $3,347 per ounce, $30 per ounce higher than in the morning and a total increase of $70 per ounce compared to the previous session (equivalent to an increase of 2.2 million VND per tael).
Gold prices rose sharply as the US dollar continued its downward trend. The US dollar index (DXY) on the international market continued to fall to 96.4 points, down 0.49% from the morning and at its lowest level since the beginning of 2022.
Currently, the world gold price, converted according to the listed exchange rate, is approximately 106 million VND/ounce, which is nearly 15 million VND/ounce lower than the price of SJC gold bars.
