Gold prices reached their highest level in over a month after the US Federal Reserve (Fed) cut interest rates by 0.25%, thereby causing the US dollar to depreciate. The Fed's benchmark interest rate fell to around 3.5-3.75%. Meanwhile, world silver prices rose to $64.22 per ounce, setting a new record.
