Pepper prices remained stable today in key producing regions.
Today's pepper prices in Dak Lak continue to remain high, with traders buying around 150,000 VND/kg. This price level gives pepper farmers more peace of mind in the final months of the year, as production costs are better controlled compared to previous seasons.
In the Dak Nong region, today's pepper price remains stable at 150,000 VND/kg. This is one of the localities with a large production volume, so the stable price contributes to balancing the domestic market.
In Gia Lai, pepper prices today are slightly lower, commonly around 148,000 VND/kg. In Dong Nai , pepper prices are also trading around 148,000 VND/kg, indicating that the sideways trend is still prevailing.
Today's pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau reached approximately 148,500 VND/kg. The Binh Phuoc area also recorded a similar purchase price, reflecting a fairly consistent stability across major pepper-growing regions nationwide.

According to the Industry and Trade Information Center under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, 2025 is considered a relatively optimistic period for pepper businesses, despite the global trade landscape still fraught with unpredictable fluctuations.
Vietnam's pepper industry is expected to generate approximately $1.6 billion in export revenue this year. Maintaining high export prices helps improve farmers' incomes and motivates businesses to continue investing in deep processing and market expansion.
According to the leaders of the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, Vietnam's signing of 16 free trade agreements is bringing significant advantages. Businesses in the industry are making good use of these FTAs to diversify markets and reduce dependence on a few traditional regions.
World pepper prices
On the international market, the International Pepper Community recorded the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at US$6,989/ton, a slight increase compared to the previous session. Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper stood at US$6,075/ton, while Malaysian Kuching black pepper traded around US$9,000/ton.
Muntok white pepper prices reached US$9,636/ton, a slight increase, while Malaysian ASTA white pepper remained high at around US$12,000/ton. For Vietnam, black pepper (500 g/l) is trading around US$6,500/ton, 550 g/l at US$6,700/ton, and white pepper at approximately US$9,250/ton.
The weakening US dollar in recent days is providing support for pepper prices in some exporting countries. Early on December 12th, the US Dollar Index fell to 98.36 points after the Federal Reserve issued a softer monetary policy outlook than expected. This development makes commodities priced in USD, including pepper, more attractive in the international market.
