On behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Ngo Tan Phuong expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from the Chinese Embassy to visit and work in the province. He also provided a brief overview of the characteristics and situation of Bac Ninh province.

Bac Ninh is located within the Hanoi Capital Region, the Northern Key Economic Zone, and the Red River Delta region.
The province has a diverse transportation system, including roads, railways, waterways, and air transport. In particular, the province is investing in the construction of Gia Binh International Airport, a 4F-class airport meeting international standards, capable of accommodating the most modern aircraft. With an area of nearly 1,960 hectares, it will have a capacity of 50 million passengers per year and 2.5 million tons of cargo per year; the airport and its connecting road network are expected to be operational in 2026.
In addition, Bac Ninh has 41 out of 50 industrial zones with approved detailed planning; 96 industrial clusters have been established with a total area of 3,673 hectares, and the area of industrial land according to detailed planning is 2,448 hectares.

Currently, Bac Ninh province has the 5th largest economy in the country. Many important development indicators are among the leading provinces nationwide. The average economic growth rate for the period 2021-2025 is estimated at 8.98% per year; economic growth in 2025 is projected to reach 10.27%, ranking 5th nationwide and 4th in the Red River Delta region, and is among the top 6 localities achieving double-digit growth targets by 2025.

The entire province attracted over 18.38 billion USD in converted investment capital, with FDI attraction ranking third nationwide after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with 5.5 billion USD.
The comrade emphasized that, overall, Vietnam-China relations have maintained a positive development trend and achieved many important results. In Bac Ninh, there are currently about 1,876 Chinese enterprises operating, mainly in the fields of electronic component manufacturing, supporting industries, and services, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers and making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the province.
At the local level, Bac Ninh has signed numerous cooperation agreements with Chinese localities such as Nanning, Laibin, Weifang, Zhenjiang, and Hekou, expanding cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment, education, culture, and tourism.
During the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy to introduce Chinese investors and businesses to explore and invest in Bac Ninh in key sectors such as industry, urban development, and services; developing modern, integrated urban and service complexes; building integrated service and logistics zones; semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence; high-quality sports, cultural, medical, healthcare, education and vocational training projects; as well as projects in environment, renewable energy, electronics manufacturing, high-tech industries, automobile manufacturing and assembly, and investment in the construction of high-end restaurants, hotels, and resorts.
Creating conditions for Bac Ninh's goods, especially agricultural products, to have a greater presence in the Chinese market, supporting Bac Ninh businesses in accessing business opportunities and participating in international trade fairs in China.
Besides economic cooperation, Bac Ninh hopes to strengthen cultural connections and exchanges, promote tourism development cooperation, and expand people-to-people exchanges between the two localities, thereby contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China. The province also proposed boosting cooperation in education, training civil servants and high-quality human resources to serve the needs of Chinese businesses in Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh in particular.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. O Quoc Quyen congratulated Bac Ninh on its outstanding achievements in recent years, affirming that Bac Ninh is a dynamically developing locality, ranking among the leading provinces nationwide.
He assessed that the merger and establishment of the new Bac Ninh province not only expands development space but also has strategic significance, making an important contribution to the overall development of the country. The Chinese Embassy is ready to act as a bridge, introducing Chinese businesses to explore investment opportunities in Bac Ninh, and requested the province to continue paying attention to and supporting Chinese businesses to operate effectively, especially in granting temporary residence permits and driver's licenses, creating conditions for Chinese residents and workers to settle down and work in the locality.
In response to the delegation's recommendations, Comrade Ngo Tan Phuong instructed the relevant agencies to study and resolve them in the coming time, while affirming that Bac Ninh always creates the most favorable conditions for domestic and foreign businesses to operate, invest, and develop in the province.
On this occasion, Comrade Ngo Tan Phuong presented the delegation with some local specialties such as Dong Ho folk paintings and dried lychees.
