Attending the ceremony were Major General Nguyen Van Lich, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1; and Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province.
This is a meaningful activity aimed at commemorating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025) and the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
At the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Lich, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1, emphasized: The statue of President Ho Chi Minh is a symbol of faith, unity, and determination for innovation, serving as a spiritual foundation for grassroots officials to fulfill their responsibilities in performing their duties. The Ministry of National Defense 's gifting of portrait statues of President Ho Chi Minh to 99 communes and wards in Bac Ninh province has special significance, especially in the context of the increasingly perfected and smoothly operating two-tiered local government model.
Placing a statue of President Ho Chi Minh at the local government headquarters will contribute to strengthening the ideological foundation of the commune-level political system, creating a spiritual anchor for officials, Party members, and the people; enhancing military-civilian solidarity, contributing to the education of patriotism and a sense of responsibility for the younger generation, and spreading profound humanistic values as President Ho Chi Minh advised: "Whatever is beneficial to the people, we must do our utmost to do; whatever is harmful to the people, we must do our utmost to avoid."

To enhance the sacred value of President Ho Chi Minh's statue, Major General Nguyen Van Lich suggested that localities select locations for the statues that are solemn and in accordance with regulations; promote political activities and traditional education associated with Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; incorporate it into the regular activities of Party branches, youth unions, and associations; and promote the symbolism of President Ho Chi Minh's statue in patriotic emulation movements and the building of strong and comprehensive localities.
On behalf of the leaders of Bac Ninh province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Tan Phuong expressed profound gratitude for the attention given by the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Command of Military Region 1 to the Party Committee, government, armed forces, and people of all ethnic groups in the province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The statue of President Ho Chi Minh is a sacred gift, a beautiful symbol of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style; it is a great source of encouragement for the political system and the local people in the context of Bac Ninh's strong transformation, aiming to become a modern industrial province and striving to soon become a centrally-governed city.

Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong suggested that localities pay attention to managing and preserving the statue of President Ho Chi Minh carefully, expressing profound gratitude to him; and continue to make the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style a regular content in Party branch activities, mass organization activities, and in building grassroots government. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized the need to promote the image of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh as a symbol of unity, the will for innovation, and the aspiration for development; linking it with patriotic emulation movements and building strong and comprehensive communes and wards.
The province will continue to closely coordinate with the Command of Military Region 1 and the Provincial Military Command to maintain national defense and security, create a stable environment for businesses to develop, and ensure people can work and produce with peace of mind; contributing to building Bac Ninh into a green, modern, and livable industrial center in the new era.
