To date, land preparation has been completed for 3 out of 4 boarding school projects in the border region of Lao Cai .

Progress in land clearance is moving quickly.

According to the Lao Cai Provincial Investment and Construction Management Board, all four boarding school projects in the first phase are located in border areas with complex terrain and harsh weather conditions, making land clearance difficult.

However, thanks to close coordination between the investor, local authorities, and the people, to date, all three projects, including Pha Long Primary and Secondary Boarding School, A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School, and Y Ty Primary and Secondary Boarding School, have had their entire sites handed over to the contractors, creating favorable conditions for construction to commence.

Specifically, the Muong Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School Project is still focusing maximum resources and manpower to complete land clearance by December 2025, ensuring it stays on schedule.

Border school projects are being actively implemented.

Mr. Dinh Van Dang, Director of the Provincial Construction Project Management Board, said: "In the past week, land clearance work has achieved positive results thanks to the close coordination between the investor and the local government."

The working groups went directly to each household, resolving difficulties and clearly explaining the compensation policies. The people showed a high level of consensus and were ready to create favorable conditions for the project to be implemented smoothly. This is an important factor contributing to the overall acceleration of the projects.

Many households proactively relocated their crops and livestock and actively cooperated in handing over the land. The consensus and responsibility of the people helped some projects complete the land clearance earlier than expected, creating favorable conditions for contractors to implement the next construction phases.

The local authorities have effectively carried out the task of disseminating information and explaining the rights and compensation mechanisms, contributing to transparency and facilitating the land handover process.

On December 11th, Y Tý commune basically completed the land clearance work for the project.

Completing the site preparation not only facilitates contractors in promptly commencing construction, but also demonstrates the high level of consensus among border residents, a crucial factor enabling contractors to begin construction of the initial phases of these projects.

Focus efforts on implementing construction projects.

Immediately after the site was handed over, contractors simultaneously commenced construction on multiple items at the three construction sites of Pha Long, A Mu Sung, and Y Ty.

Construction teams are flexibly deployed, taking full advantage of favorable weather conditions, while ensuring quality and workplace safety.

The atmosphere at the construction site is extremely busy, reflecting the high determination of the construction units to bring the projects into operation as soon as possible.

At the Pha Long Primary and Secondary Boarding School project, despite the steep terrain and large volume of earthworks required, the contractor maintained three parallel construction teams to shorten the site preparation time and simultaneously proceed with the construction of various components.

The primary school classroom block has completed the concrete foundation pouring, and the teams are currently fabricating the reinforcement, formwork, and foundation bracing; the subject classroom block is also having its foundation pits dug, preparing to enter the reinforcement installation phase...

At the A Mú Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School project, approximately 90% of the ground leveling work has been completed, and the entire foundation system for the classroom blocks has been excavated.

Construction teams are gathering materials and will begin laying the foundation for the dormitory building next week.

Despite the challenging terrain that made transporting materials difficult, the units still strived to maintain a stable progress, demonstrating flexibility and creativity in construction organization.

Meanwhile, at the Y Tý Primary and Secondary Boarding School project, the construction site faced the most challenging conditions with its rugged terrain, low temperatures, and dense fog. Despite these challenges, the construction team maintained two main work fronts: leveling the ground and building access roads.

If the weather is favorable, the classroom and boarding facility construction will begin next week.

Deputy site commander Nguyen Trong Vinh said: "We have arranged flexible shifts, taking full advantage of favorable weather conditions to speed up progress, ensuring safety and quality."

To meet the deadline, other contractors have mobilized maximum manpower, machinery, and equipment. Mr. Dang Manh Hung, Director of Phuc Anh Construction Co., Ltd., the contractor for one of the projects, shared: "We aim to accelerate progress while still ensuring quality and safety. When the weather is bad, the company flexibly adjusts the schedule and works overtime when the weather is favorable to compensate."

These are special projects, serving the children of border regions, so we are focusing all our resources and requiring contractors to mobilize maximum manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure the progress and quality of the construction. Each item, from site leveling and foundation work to the construction of classrooms and dormitories, is being implemented synchronously and closely monitored.

Mr. Dinh Van Dang, Director of the Provincial Construction Project Management Board

The Provincial Investment and Construction Management Board also assigns experienced technical staff to closely monitor the site, reviewing progress daily to promptly address any arising issues.

The close coordination between the investor, contractor, and local authorities ensures continuous operation of the construction site, guaranteeing uninterrupted service under all weather and terrain conditions.

With the current progress, the boarding school projects in Pha Long, A Mu Sung, Y Ty, and Muong Khuong are expected to be completed on schedule, contributing to the goal of improving the quality of education in mountainous and border areas, and demonstrating the effectiveness of coordination between the investor, local authorities, and the people.
