On the morning of June 24, Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC), Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with Hoan Kiem District People's Committee and Hanoi Department of Information and Communications organized the event "Initializing digital face identification with national domain name .vn" on Hoan Kiem walking street, Hanoi.

The program's implementing units have set up propaganda booths to provide information and guide people to access and use digital face identification with the national domain name id.vn.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thang, Director of Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC) said: Digital transformation activities are taking place strongly, the need to be present and build an online brand has become an inevitable trend for businesses and people. The national domain name “.vn” associated with a website and professional email address is the bridge to bring people and businesses to the digital environment quickly, safely and sustainably.

The program "Identifying digital faces with national domain name id.vn" was created specifically for young people with very special preferential policies, to meet the needs of creating digital identities and building brands on the internet.

Specifically, the preferential policy on fees (no fees) is applied for 2 years from the date the domain name is granted to Vietnamese citizens aged 18 to 23 who register to use the domain name "id.vn". Thus, young people and students of this age can take advantage of this opportunity at a cost of 0 VND to experience and improve digital skills, find jobs, and connect with the community by building their own personal brand on the internet with a personal website associated with the domain name "id.vn".

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong (Tay Ho district, Hanoi) shared: This is a new but very convenient service. I am interested in identification to perform quickly, accurately and securely for many transactions on the internet.

In addition to the Youth Incentive Program, for newly established enterprises within one year from the date of domain name registration, business households with a certificate of registration of establishment registering the domain name “biz.vn” will enjoy preferential fees (no fees, charges) for 2 years from the date the domain name is granted. Small and medium enterprises, individual business households can build, develop their brands, do online business with digital services using the domain name “biz.vn”...

In addition to preferential policies on fees, subjects of the incentive program will be provided with free services and accompanying products such as websites, emails, etc. by businesses that are national domain name registrars.

With the national domain name “id.vn” having a meaning closely associated with each individual, this is a great opportunity for individuals and organizations to build their brands in the digital age. From now until the end of 2023, every weekend, at location 2 Le Thai To (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), there will be booths to promote the registration of the national domain name “.vn". Here, people will be guided on how to use the national domain name “.vn”, especially users of the preferential program will be given free domain names.
