On December 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Do Son District Police Department initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained Tran Doan Thang (39 years old, residing in Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City) and Do Van Hoan (30 years old, residing in Dong Trieu Town, Quang Ninh Province) for investigation related to the illegal buying, selling, and organizing of drug use.
Suspect Tran Doan Thang has been charged and detained by the Criminal Investigation Agency of Do Son District Police for illegally trading narcotics.
The defendants Thang and Hoan are respectively accused of leading the illegal trafficking of narcotics and organizing the illegal use of narcotics.
Earlier, on December 20th, at Anh Quan karaoke bar (located in Hop Duc Ward, Do Son District), the Criminal, Economic , and Drug Crime Investigation Team of Do Son District Police caught a group red-handed organizing and illegally using drugs; arresting 10 people and seizing many exhibits and evidence related to drug crimes.
On December 21st, the investigating agency initiated a criminal case for organizing the illegal use of narcotics. During the investigation, the Do Son District Police determined that the case showed signs of involvement with suspects residing in various locations: Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang , Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong… The suspects had meticulously prepared and planned the operation, employing sophisticated methods.
On December 28th, the special task force arrested Tran Doan Thang on charges of leading an illegal drug trafficking operation and Do Van Hoan on charges of organizing the illegal use of drugs.
The case is currently being investigated further by the Do Son District Police to identify and prosecute all related suspects in accordance with the law.
