The "Swimming, Running, and Sliding on Sand Dunes" competition in Bac Binh has begun.

The 10th expanded Bac Binh - Binh Thuan Triathlon "Swimming, Running, and Sandboarding" competition in 2024 will take place on April 13th.

This is a traditional sports event of Bac Binh district, held to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the complete liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024).

The athletes begin with the swimming event.

The competition was organized into two categories: provincial-level teams and amateur teams . The events included swimming : 190 meters (women were not eligible for swimming) ; 1.5 km sand dune running; and a 20-meter sandboarding race . For the team events, each team could register a maximum of 5 athletes, with the top 3 athletes achieving the best results to determine the rankings .

The annual triathlon competition attracts a large number of athletes, not only for the competition but also to create an interesting tourism product for visitors to Bau Trang during this time. It is known that each year the competition includes communes, towns, agencies and schools ; armed forces, businesses located in Bac Binh district; emulation clusters under the District Labor Union ; districts, towns, and cities; departments, agencies, organizations, armed forces; universities, colleges, vocational schools, and high schools; businesses, central agencies located in Binh Thuan province and provinces and cities in the Southeast region emulation cluster ...

Awards presented to athletes in 2023.

The triathlon is a unique cultural sport of the locality, meeting the needs of the people in the former Le Khu resistance base for cultural and spiritual enjoyment . At the same time, it promotes tourism to visit the scenic Bau Trang area .
