The "Swimming, running, and sliding down sand dunes" competition in Bac Binh kicked off

The 10th Bac Binh - Binh Thuan Open Triathlon "Swimming, Running, Sand Dune Sliding" 2024 will take place on April 13.

This is a traditional sports tournament of Bac Binh district, to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024).

Athletes start with swimming

The tournament is organized with 2 contents, provincial team system and grassroots system . The competition contents include : 190 meter distance (women do not compete in swimming) ; Sand dune running with a distance of 1.5 km and sand chase with a slope of 20 meters. Regarding the team content, each team registers a maximum of 5 athletes, taking the 3 best athletes to calculate the ranking points.

The annual triathlon sports tournament attracts a large number of athletes to participate, not only competing but also contributing to creating interesting tourism products for visitors when visiting Bau Trang on this occasion. It is known that every year, the tournament has communes, towns, agencies and schools ; armed forces, enterprises located in Bac Binh district; emulation clusters under the District Labor Federation ; districts, towns, cities; departments, branches, unions, armed forces; universities, colleges, intermediate schools, high schools; enterprises, central agencies located in Binh Thuan province and provinces and cities in the Southeast Emulation Cluster ...

The triathlon is a sport with a unique cultural identity of the locality, meeting the needs of enjoying the cultural and spiritual life of the people in the old Khu Le resistance base . At the same time, it promotes tourists to visit the Bau Trang landscape .
