Mr. Bui The Nhan attended the opening ceremony and congratulated the participating delegations. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Ngoc - Head of Sports Management Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Chairman of Vovinam Federation, Head of the Organizing Committee, said: The 2023 Binh Thuan Youth Vovinam Championship is held in the atmosphere of the whole country competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. At the same time, responding to the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence". This is also the first time that the martial arts tournament has invested in digital equipment for monitoring, scoring, and reviewing situations so that the referees can make the most accurate decisions, ensuring fairness and transparency for athletes and coaches".

The tournament has 20 delegations, with 347 athletes competing in 32 combat events, 17 individual and team events. The tournament takes place from July 27 to 30, 2023.

Before the opening ceremony, athletes competed in individual and team events. The Organizing Committee will award a total of 49 sets of medals and team flags to the units with the highest achievements in the 2023 season.
