The political report presented at the Congress showed that during the 2020-2025 term, the collective of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector of Thanh Hoa province has united, proactively innovated, created and achieved many important achievements, directly contributing to the overall development of the province.
Comprehensive growth picture
In the period 2021-2025, Thanh Hoa province is expected to welcome over 58.2 million tourists , with an average growth rate of 16.9%/year, reaching 91.4% of the planned target. Total revenue from tourism reached 128,886 billion VND, an average growth rate of 34.4%/year, reaching 90.2% of the target.
The success of Thanh Hoa tourism lies not only in growth figures, but also in improving the quality of products and services and shifting towards sustainable development, associated with preserving and promoting indigenous cultural values.
Along with that, high-performance sports and mass sports continued to make a strong impression. Thanh Hoa's athletes won 17 medals at the 31st SEA Games, 18 medals at the 32nd SEA Games, and 132 medals at the 9th National Sports Festival, including 40 gold medals, 29 silver medals and 63 bronze medals, ranking 4th nationwide, the highest position ever.
During the term, 14 intangible cultural heritages were included in the national list; 7 relics were ranked at the provincial level. The work of preserving, restoring and embellishing relics continued to receive attention with 91 relics/projects receiving investment support to prevent degradation.
8/20 traditional festivals have been restored, preserved and promoted, contributing to reviving the unique cultural values of ethnic communities in the province.
Just counting the system of grassroots cultural and sports institutions, by mid-2025, the whole province will have 20/27 district-level units with Cultural and Sports Centers (reaching 74%); 301/558 communes, wards and towns with Cultural and Sports Centers (reaching 53.9%); 4,302/4,357 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods with Cultural Houses and Sports Areas (reaching 98.7%).
The rate of "Cultural families" is estimated at 83.5%, exceeding the planned target by 8.5%; the rate of cultural residential areas is 82.5%, exceeding 4.5%.
Professional performing arts activities have many innovations in organization and staging; art programs are invested in elaborately, the artistic quality is increasingly improved, achieving high results at national competitions and performances.
During the term, state management of press and publishing continued to be tightened. Press activities in the province were put into order; phenomena of reporting false news and one-sided reflection were promptly corrected.
The issuance of cards, licenses and control of reporters' activities are carried out seriously, contributing to improving professionalism and standards in journalism activities.
Innovation in leadership methods, development associated with digital transformation
Speaking at the congress, Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Do Hong Quang praised the efforts and comprehensive achievements of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Party Committee in the past term.
He suggested that the Party Committee continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, build a clean and strong Party organization, and successfully carry out the set political targets and tasks.
In the new term 2025-2030, the Department Party Committee has identified many key tasks: improving the quality of advisory work; enhancing the effectiveness of state management in the fields of culture, festivals, sports, press and tourism; promoting digital transformation in the management and promotion of culture, sports and tourism; building model cultural units; implementing grassroots democracy; innovating leadership methods and working styles of Party committees and organizations at all levels.
The Congress elected the Party Executive Committee of the Department for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 13 comrades; at the same time, elected 10 official delegates, 1 ex-officio delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the Party Congress at a higher level.
The Congress also unanimously passed the Resolution for the 2025-2030 term, with the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Sustainable Development".
