Spread many digital models and products

Right from the first days of implementing the resolution on digital transformation, Party committees and units at all levels determined not to let digital transformation become a formal movement, and not to stop at reporting, but instead to have specific digital models and products that can be applied immediately in practice. That policy quickly permeated into action, becoming a driving force spreading from agencies to grassroots units in Military Region 1.

Regiment 246 (Division 346, Military Region 1) coordinated to organize training in information technology knowledge and digital transformation.

At Division 3, the models: "Digital Soldier Club" and "Digital Bulletin Board" have created a new feature in training and propaganda work. The "Digital Soldier Club" model is operated to gather soldiers who are knowledgeable and passionate about technology to support their teammates; meeting once a week and organizing monthly thematic activities. The content of the activities is rich, from basic information technology knowledge, instructions on applying specialized software to exploiting modern tools such as ChatGPT, Google Drive... This method both promotes internal resources and creates a habit of working digitally for cadres at the grassroots unit.

The “Digital Bulletin Board” of Regiment 12 (Division 3) when put into operation has replaced the traditional bulletin board. The content is compiled and displayed on a TV screen or projector, combining text, images, videos, charts, and quick updates, closely following the training situation, combat readiness, and emulation movements. Sections of political , legal, and professional education such as: “News of the day”, “One law per week”, “One question of political-social awareness per day” help information to be easily absorbed and remembered.

At Regiment 246 (Division 346), during political classes, instead of using a blackboard, the lecturers operate directly on the projection system. Image materials, illustrative clips, and even multiple-choice tests are all designed online. Private Hoang Quang Vinh, a soldier of Company 2, Battalion 1, Regiment 246, excitedly said: "Learning with visual images and videos helps us understand and remember more easily. When doing multiple-choice tests right on the tablet, the results appear immediately, and everyone clearly sees the advantages of technology."

Multifaceted, effective application

At the 382nd Artillery Brigade, the movement to build a "digital unit" was deployed synchronously. In addition to using document management software, the Brigade put into operation an electronic database system on military numbers, weapons, equipment and soldiers' lives. Colonel Do Khac Long, Political Commissar of the 382nd Brigade, said: "Previously, compiling reports took many manual steps, now with just a few operations, the data has been updated and classified automatically. Thanks to that, management and operation work is quick, accurate, significantly reducing time and effort."

Along with applications in command, management or training, digital transformation is also clearly present in logistics and medical work. At Military Hospital 91 (Logistics and Engineering Department of Military Region 1), the implementation of electronic medical records helps shorten the examination and treatment process, increase the accuracy in diagnosis and convenience for patients. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan, Head of the Examination Department, introduced: "All data is digitized and stored securely. Doctors can quickly look up and consult remotely, and patients are served faster and more thoughtfully."

Battalion 8 (Regiment 141, Division 3, Military Region 1) deployed the "Digital Bulletin Board" model.

The common points in the digital transformation models of Military Region 1 are proactiveness, creativity and high applicability. It can be seen that digital transformation in Military Region 1 brings practical results. The "digital bulletin boards", training management software, "electronic medical records"... are vivid proof of the determination to turn policies into actions, turning technology into strength.

The spirit of innovation and creativity is concretized by the "Digital Education for All" Movement along with many training courses, guidance on information technology skills, data security, and the use of military software. Major General La Cong Phuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 1, emphasized: "Technology is just a means, people are the center of digital transformation. When soldiers are conscious of learning and practicing technology skills, all software and equipment will become strength." With a methodical and creative approach, the Military Region 1 is gradually affirming its pioneering and effective role in the digital transformation process of the entire army, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period./.
