Following the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister , and to meet the consumer demand during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, the industry and trade sector and businesses nationwide are actively stockpiling abundant goods and maintaining stable prices. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has directed provincial and city departments of industry and trade, corporations, general companies, and industry associations to develop production and business plans, supply strategies, and measures to handle unusual market fluctuations. Simultaneously, they are strengthening market inspection and control, and handling administrative violations related to essential goods with high consumer demand during the year-end and Lunar New Year period. In particular, functional forces are closely monitoring the business activities of gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas, preventing speculation, hoarding, and unreasonable price increases; ensuring market stability to serve the needs of the people during the Tet holiday.
In Quang Ninh province, from the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2024, supermarkets, shopping malls, businesses, small traders, and household businesses have developed plans and prepared goods for the last months of the year and the Lunar New Year with a total reserve of nearly 1,300 billion VND, for essential goods for Tet, confectionery, fresh food, canned goods, beer, wine, etc. All goods are of good quality, with clear origins, diverse and attractive designs. At the same time, to ensure supply and demand, stabilize the market, and prevent hoarding and price spikes when people's consumer demand increases, the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods is also actively implemented by functional agencies in the province before, during, and after the Lunar New Year to ensure that no hotspots occur and absolutely no speculation or abnormal price increases occur.
With the involvement of relevant authorities in ensuring the supply of goods, stabilizing the market, and combating counterfeit and fake goods, consumer rights will be protected before, during, and after Tet, bringing a joyful and exciting Tet holiday to every household.
