Accounting is the activity of recording, classifying, verifying, and reporting the financial and business information of an organization or individual. The task of an accountant is to collect, process, and report financial transactions to provide detailed information about the financial situation and business performance to other stakeholders.

Accounting work is crucial, requiring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant financial and tax regulations.

Therefore, to study Accounting, you need to understand mathematics at a basic level, but you don't need to be exceptionally good at it. You may not be great at calculations, but if you have a passion for numbers and are diligent and serious in your studies, you can absolutely do well in this field.

At the same time, there are now many software and technological applications that help you perform calculations quickly and accurately. By mastering accounting principles and procedures and making good use of technology in your work, you can absolutely achieve success in the accounting field even if you are not good at math.

Several schools offer accounting programs.

National Economics University - 2023, using the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the Accounting major set the admission cutoff score at 27.05 points, considering 4 subject combinations: A00; A01; D01; D07.

The tuition fee for the Accounting program at the school is 2 million VND per month, equivalent to 20 million VND per academic year.

The University of Commerce currently offers three majors in the field of Accounting with the following admission scores: Business Accounting at 25.9 points, Public Accounting at 25.8 points, and Auditing at 26.2 points.

Tuition fees for standard programs range from 23-25 ​​million VND/year; for high-quality, integrated programs, it's 35.2-40 million VND/year; and for career-oriented programs, it's 25 million VND/year.

Vinh University - 2023, using the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the Accounting major had a cutoff score of 19 points. Using the method of considering high school academic results, the cutoff score was 23 points. Both methods considered four subject combinations: A00; A01; D01; D07.

Last year, the University of Economics ( Da Nang University) set the admission cutoff score for the Accounting major at 23.85 points (A00; A01; D01; D90) based on high school graduation exam scores and 26.5 points (A00; A01; D01) based on academic transcripts.

The tuition fee for the Accounting major in the 2023-2024 academic year is expected to be 21 million VND per year. Tuition fees for subsequent years may change, but the increase will not exceed 10% of the previous year's tuition fee.

The University of Finance and Marketing (Ho Chi Minh City) is currently offering two programs with admission scores of 23 points for Accounting (Integrated Program) and 24.6 points for Accounting (Regular Program). Both programs accept applications from four subject combinations: A00, A01, D01, and D96.

The University of Banking Ho Chi Minh City recruits students for the Accounting major through four methods: admission based on high school graduation exam scores; admission based on high school academic transcripts and achievements; admission based on the university's own entrance exam; and direct admission and priority admission.

Based on the high school graduation exam scores, the Accounting major at the university set the admission cutoff score for 2023 at 24.87 points (A00; A01; D01; D07). The tuition fee for the regular undergraduate program in the 2023-2024 academic year is expected to be approximately 7 million VND/semester, and for the high-quality program, 17.922 million VND/semester.

In addition, candidates can refer to the admission information for Accounting majors at other universities such as: Foreign Trade University, Academy of Finance, Hanoi University of Finance and Banking, University of Economics (Hue University), Ho Chi Minh City Open University, and Can Tho University.
