On July 30, at Kep airport (Bac Ninh) - the station of Air Force Regiment 927 (Division 371, Air Defense - Air Force). This is also the "training ground" of three types of military jet aircraft including: Su-30MK2, Yak-130 and L-39NG participating in the parade and marching activities on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 - (abbreviated as mission A80). From early morning, the training atmosphere of pilots, technicians and logistics soldiers took place with unprecedented urgency, meeting the highest requirements of safety, accuracy and artistry when the squadrons of aircraft of the Air Defense - Air Force flew over the stage at Ba Dinh Square on September 2. According to the plan, in mission A80, there will be 9 flight groups with 30 aircraft including helicopters, C295, C212i, Yak-130, L-39NG, Su-30MK2 performing the welcome flight. These aircraft will use 3 airports for takeoff and landing including Hoa Lac, Gia Lam ( Hanoi ) and Kep (Bac Ninh). Photo: Thien Anh. Demonstration flights require each aircraft to maintain the correct speed range at low altitude, so pilots will need to operate precisely throughout the journey to ensure safety and create beautiful performances. One of the modern military jets participating in the A80 mission is the Yak-130 squadron of Regiment 940, Air Force Officer School. Of these, six Yak-130s will perform official flights, two will serve as reserves. Photo: Thien Anh.
Each Yak-130 has a crew of two. This is a modern supersonic training aircraft made by Russia that can perform many simulated flight operations similar to 4th and 5th generation fighters. Photo: Thien Anh.

The highlight of this training session was the arrow formation flight with a squadron of 5 SU-30MK2s, deployed for the first time by the Vietnam Air Force for a performance in the sky above Ba Dinh Square. This was a great challenge, requiring absolutely precise coordination between the pilots, as well as the entire ground engineering force. Photo: Thien Anh.
The leading Su-30MK2 takes on the role of orienting, the remaining four are spread out on both sides, keeping a distance of only meters at a speed of hundreds of kilometers per hour. Any small deviation can affect the entire formation, so the pilots must practice their ability to observe, control and handle situations to perfection. Photo: Thien Anh.
The formation was kept at an absolutely precise distance, demonstrating the technique and bravery of Vietnamese military pilots. Photo: Thien Anh.

After each training flight, the planes will land back at the hangar for inspection and maintenance in preparation for the next training session. This A80 flight mission is considered to be the largest and most complex ever. Photo: Thien Anh.
