Tourist areas and hotels in Vung Tau are overcrowded.

On February 21st (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year of the Horse), the Vung Tau Ward Public Service Center reported that from February 17th to 20th (the first four days of the Lunar New Year), Vung Tau beach (Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) welcomed over 144,000 visitors for sightseeing, recreation, and swimming. On the 4th day of the Lunar New Year alone, Vung Tau recorded approximately 66,000 visitors, a significant increase compared to previous days.

Vung Tau beach, Thuy Van road, Tam Thang Tower park, Ca Ong area... (Bai Sau area) are crowded with people celebrating the Lunar New Year. Thuy Van road is frequently congested with traffic. On the beach, under the gentle sunshine, tourists flock to swim from quite early in the morning.

According to the leaders of Vung Tau ward People's Committee, the completion of the renovation of Thuy Van road this year has contributed to attracting a large number of tourists to come for recreation, relaxation, and beach activities.

Not only did the number of visitors increase significantly, but many cultural and entertainment activities taking place before Tet also contributed to attracting a large number of locals and tourists.

During the early days of Spring, Vung Tau ward organized many major events such as the Lion and Dragon Dance Festival and music and dance programs celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival, attracting tens of thousands of participants and creating a vibrant festive atmosphere right from the start of the holiday.

During the four days of Tet (Lunar New Year), rescue forces promptly rescued and brought safely ashore individuals who were caught in rip currents while swimming. At the same time, local authorities ensured the safety of approximately 4,000 residents and tourists visiting and paying respects at the Hon Ba historical site.

This year, tourist areas in eastern Ho Chi Minh City are expected to welcome a record number of visitors thanks to the completion and operation of many tourism infrastructure projects. Among them, Thuy Van Park - Bai Sau Beach, with a total investment of over 1,100 billion VND, along with scenic highlights such as the Whale Statue and Tam Thang Tower, contribute to enhancing the visitor experience.
