Since October 22, the working groups have completed the measurement in Nghia Thanh commune (119 ha) and Nghia Lam commune (118 ha). The total land area measured for recovery in the three communes of Nam Dien, Nghia Lam, and Nghia Hai is 353 ha, currently used by 255 households for aquaculture (including 72 households in Nghia Lam, 97 households in Nam Dien, and 86 households in Nghia Thanh).
Once the surveying work is completed, the authorities and relevant agencies will continue to speed up the implementation of related tasks to soon complete the site clearance work and hand over the project land fund to Xuan Thien Group Corporation to soon start investing in construction of the projects.
The complex of 3 green steel projects (including component projects: Xuan Thien Nam Dinh Precast Concrete Components Factory, Xuan Thien Nam Dinh Green Steel Factory No. 1 and Xuan Thien Nghia Hung Green Steel Factory) of Xuan Thien Group in Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province has a total registered investment capital of VND 98,900 billion.
In November 2022, Xuan Thien Group started construction of a 425-hectare precast concrete component factory project with a capacity of 350,000 tons/year in Nghia Hai commune. According to the plan, this project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024 and start production from the first quarter of 2025.
The remaining projects include Xuan Thien Nghia Hung Green Steel Factory with a scale of 84 hectares, a total investment of VND10,000 billion and a capacity of 2 million tons/year; Xuan Thien Nam Dinh Green Steel Factory No. 1 with a scale of 285 hectares, a total investment of VND88,000 billion, and a capacity of 7.5 million tons/year.
The capacity of this green steel complex is 9.5 million tons of steel/year, of which hot rolled coil (HRC) accounts for about 7.5 million tons/year.
When put into operation, the green steel complex of Xuan Thien Group will create jobs for about 16,200 direct workers, mainly technical workers, and many indirect jobs from the expansion of service industries and supporting industries.
The complex of 3 green steel projects also promises to boost the industrial, urban and service development of Nghia Hung district, and at the same time be the premise and driving force for the establishment of Ninh Co Economic Zone (with a total area of nearly 14,000 hectares in the two districts of Hai Hau and Nghia Hung) according to the planning approved by the Prime Minister. At the same time, gradually making Nghia Hung become one of the 4 growth poles according to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Nam Dinh province hopes that people in Con Xanh area will continue to agree and support the province's policies and orientations on land recovery to soon implement projects in the area, for the common development of the province.
