Since October 22nd, working groups have completed land surveying in Nghia Thanh commune (119 ha) and Nghia Lam commune (118 ha). The total area of land surveyed for reclamation in all three communes of Nam Dien, Nghia Lam, and Nghia Hai is 353 ha, currently used by 255 households for aquaculture (including 72 households in Nghia Lam, 97 households in Nam Dien, and 86 households in Nghia Thanh).
Once the surveying work is completed, the relevant authorities and agencies will continue to accelerate the implementation of related tasks to quickly complete the land clearance and hand over the project land to Xuan Thien Group Joint Stock Company so that it can soon start investing in and constructing the projects.
The complex of 3 green steel projects (including the component projects: Xuan Thien Nam Dinh Precast Concrete Component Manufacturing Plant, Xuan Thien Nam Dinh Green Steel Plant No. 1, and Xuan Thien Nghia Hung Green Steel Plant) of Xuan Thien Group in Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province has a total registered investment capital of VND 98,900 billion.
In November 2022, Xuan Thien Group commenced construction of a 425-hectare precast concrete component manufacturing plant with a capacity of 350,000 tons per year in Nghia Hai commune. According to the plan, this project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024 and begin production in the first quarter of 2025.
The remaining projects include the Xuan Thien Nghia Hung Green Steel Plant, covering 84 hectares with a total investment of 10,000 billion VND and a capacity of 2 million tons/year; and the Xuan Thien Nam Dinh Green Steel Plant No. 1, covering 285 hectares with a total investment of 88,000 billion VND and a capacity of 7.5 million tons/year.
This green steel complex has a production capacity of 9.5 million tons of steel per year, of which hot-rolled coil (HRC) accounts for approximately 7.5 million tons per year.
When operational, Xuan Thien Group's green steel complex will create jobs for approximately 16,200 direct employees, mainly technical workers, along with many indirect jobs from the development and expansion of service industries and supporting industries.
The combination of three green steel projects also promises to boost industrial, urban, and service development in Nghia Hung district, while serving as a foundation and driving force for the establishment of the Ninh Co Economic Zone (with a total area of nearly 14,000 hectares across Hai Hau and Nghia Hung districts) as approved by the Prime Minister. Simultaneously, it will gradually transform Nghia Hung into one of the four growth poles according to the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Nam Dinh province hopes that the people in the Con Xanh area will continue to agree with and support the province's policies and directions regarding land acquisition so that projects in the area can be implemented soon, for the overall development of the province.
