
Nguyen Du Secondary School team consists of 3 members: Viet Ha, Minh Phuc and Bao Ha. This is the second time the school has participated in the "English Window" playground. Meanwhile, Phan Huy Chu Secondary School team participates in the program for the first time, with contestants: Thao My, Phuong Mai and Trung Tue.
In the opening round - "Quick eyes", both teams answered 8/10 questions correctly, requiring them to arrange letters into meaningful English words. However, Nguyen Du Secondary School gained the advantage by getting 5 correct answers, scoring 25 points. Phan Huy Chu Secondary School answered 3 questions correctly, earning 15 points.
The second part - "Quick mind" - is the stage for candidates to demonstrate their presentation skills, critical thinking and expressing personal opinions in English.
Phan Huy Chu Secondary School was the first team to present with the topic “How to improve confidence and communication skills”. All three members expressed their views clearly and received 28 points from the judges.
Next, Nguyen Du Secondary School representative – contestant Nguyen Pham Bao Ha – presented on the topic “Time Management”. She shared: to manage time effectively, students need to make a study plan, limit the use of phones, TV and social networks; at the same time, apply the intermittent learning method – study for 30 minutes then take a short break to reduce pressure. With a confident demeanor, tight structure and accurate English pronunciation, Bao Ha’s presentation convinced the judges, helping her team win 29 points.
After the first two rounds, Nguyen Du Secondary School temporarily took the lead with 54 points, while Phan Huy Chu Secondary School got 43 points.
The final round – “Quick hands” – required teams to take turns opening 6 pieces of a picture by answering 6 questions. Nguyen Du Secondary School continued to affirm their performance by answering 3 questions correctly, scoring 30 more points, bringing the total score to 84. Phan Huy Chu Secondary School answered 1 question correctly, earning 10 more points, bringing the total score to 53.

The drama was heightened in the final question - a 40-point mystery crossword question: "What day is Vietnamese Doctors' Day?". Before the MC finished reading the question, the Phan Huy Chu Secondary School team hastily pressed the bell, breaking the rules and losing the right to answer. Nguyen Du Secondary School did not miss the opportunity, giving the correct answer: February 27, thereby winning all 40 precious points.
At the end of the match, Nguyen Du Secondary School won with a total score of 124, officially entering the quarter-finals of the program.
