Checking the progress of hydropower projects.

On May 28th, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien inspected the construction progress of the Tra Khuc 1 and Tra Khuc 2 hydropower projects and surveyed the implementation status of the Son Mau 1 and Son Mau 2 hydropower projects in the upstream area of ​​the Tra Khuc River.

During an inspection of the Tra Khuc 1 and Tra Khuc 2 hydropower projects, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien acknowledged the investor's efforts in implementing the projects.

Specifically, the Tra Khuc 1 Hydropower Plant, with a capacity of 30MW, has basically completed its main components and is expected to begin trial operation of its first turbine in June this year. The Tra Khuc 2 Hydropower Plant, with a capacity of 36MW, has reached approximately 75% of its construction volume and aims to be completed and put into operation in December 2026.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that departments, agencies, and localities coordinate to support the investor in completing legal procedures and ensuring the necessary conditions before impounding water and operating the plant, strictly adhering to regulations on construction, structural safety, and environmental protection.

Earlier, the working group inspected the sites of the Son Mau 1 and Son Mau 2 hydropower projects in Son Tay and Son Tay Ha communes. These projects are currently in the process of finalizing investment proposal documents. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to review and resolve difficulties and obstacles to expedite the procedures according to regulations.
