Creating space for development of Da Nang Free Trade Zone

On the morning of August 18, in Da Nang city, the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones (DSEZA) in collaboration with Alphanam Group organized the Da Nang Free Trade Zone (FTZ Da Nang) Investment Promotion Conference 2025, with the theme "Creating development space with Da Nang Free Trade Zone".

The event was attended by more than 200 delegates including city leaders, departments, branches, business associations and major domestic and foreign investors.

In June 2025, the Prime Minister decided to approve the establishment of a Free Trade Zone in Da Nang city with a total area of 1,881 hectares at 07 locations. Unlike other economic zones and industrial zones, the Free Trade Zone has 7 functional areas and each area has its own mission and specific characteristics.

In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized that the Conference is an important forum connecting the Government - Enterprises, exchanging information, connecting opportunities, stimulating ideas and promoting practical cooperation agreements.

"With the motto "Investor's success is the city's success" , Da Nang commits to creating the most favorable conditions for projects to be implemented quickly, effectively and sustainably," Mr. Cuong emphasized.

At the conference, the Management Board introduced an overview of the development of Da Nang FTZs with main functions such as: logistics - international logistics - production - trade - services - finance - tourism, resorts - high-quality healthcare - innovation.

The unique advantages of Da Nang FTZ are the outstanding incentive mechanisms and policies on investment, tax, customs, land, income and accommodation policies for experts and scientists.

The Management Board of Da Nang FTZ will apply the BIM building information model - integrating GIS geographic information to digitally transform infrastructure to operate and manage smart FTZs with virtual digital copies "Digital Twin" for the current status of 07 Da Nang FTZ locations to provide detailed information for site clearance and planning design with outstanding accuracy, thereby optimizing construction investment costs, minimizing risks and supporting comprehensive management work.

The Da Nang Free Trade Zone Investment Promotion Conference focused on discussing and researching solutions for planning and architecture of the Da Nang FTZ; and smart FTZ management model.

At the same time, the Management Board organized for the first time an open discussion program on mechanisms, opportunities and investment cooperation proposals for the Da Nang Free Trade Zone to open up opportunities for direct dialogue with participating businesses./.
