Da Nang: Awarding the Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation

On October 3, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee (Standing Office of the Steering Committee 35 of the Da Nang City Party Committee) held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the 2nd Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2025.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 59 prizes to authors and groups of authors.

Specifically, in the newspaper category there is 1 A prize, 3 B prizes, 5 C prizes, 10 Encouragement prizes; in the magazine category there is 1 A prize, 3 B prizes, 5 C prizes, 10 Encouragement prizes; in the television category there is 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes; in the radio category there is 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes; in the video clip category there are 3 B prizes, 4 C prizes (no A prize).

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 2 Promising prizes and 6 excellent collectives.

According to Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee Huynh Thi Thuy Dung, the contest attracted thousands of entries with the participation of many components, fields and ages.

Many works have demonstrated meticulous investment, tight arguments linked to vivid reality, sharp refutation of erroneous and distorted views of hostile forces; at the same time, spreading confidence, arousing the responsibility of cadres, party members, and people in protecting the Party's ideological foundation...

Colonel Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Da Nang City Military Command, said that immediately after the contest was held, the City Military Command proactively held a meeting and selected 50 topics and themes to suggest to officers and soldiers to create works.

The unit requires authors to delve into practical work so that the articles are practical and have "the breath of life."

Colonel Nguyen Tan Tuan suggested that in the coming years, the Organizing Committee should, in addition to launching difficult topics, set "assignments" for each specific unit.

Besides, the Organizing Committee needs to better promote the role of experts and researchers in the field of protecting the Party's ideological foundation to guide participating units and individuals.

After nearly 4 months (from March to June 2025), the Organizing Committee received 1,316 works, including 14 works from authors outside Da Nang city.

Units with a large number of works of good quality include: Da Nang City Police, Da Nang City Military Command, Da Nang City Political School, districts of the old Da Nang city such as Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Lien Chieu, Cam Le...

Localities and units have screened and sent to the Organizing Committee of the city-level contest 796 entries in various categories.

The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee has organized the appraisal, evaluation and selection of quality entries in all 5 categories with 151 works. On that basis, the members of the Jury conducted the evaluation, appraisal and scoring.

The Organizing Committee has selected 79 basic works that meet the requirements and sent them to the Central competition./.
