On the afternoon of September 24th, Quang Nam Central General Hospital ( Da Nang City) held a ceremony to announce the launch of its electronic medical record system.
This is a significant step forward in the digital transformation of healthcare , bringing many practical benefits to the public and healthcare workers, and contributing to the realization of the goal of a "paperless hospital".

The advisory council reviewed and evaluated the practical implementation of electronic medical records at Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

With electronic medical records, all examination, treatment, test, and diagnostic image data are stored centrally and can be quickly retrieved through the system.
Patients can register for appointments via smart medical kiosks, reducing waiting times; cashless payments are available, making the process transparent and convenient.

For doctors and nurses, electronic medical records bring about a complete transformation, enabling them to conduct ward rounds using tablets, digitally sign records directly, and integrate with HIS-EMR, LIS, and RIS-PACS systems, ensuring data interoperability.
Digital signatures, electronic invoices, and standardized prescription management reduce errors and shorten administrative time; in particular, information security is ensured according to new regulations, guaranteeing the privacy of patients…
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Director of Quang Nam Central General Hospital, affirmed that the implementation of electronic medical records is a key task, in line with the Ministry of Health 's orientation towards building smart hospitals.
"Electronic medical records are a significant milestone in the hospital's digital transformation. This is an inevitable trend, playing a crucial role in medical examination and treatment, especially in providing the best possible service to patients," Mr. Hung emphasized.

The Director of Quang Nam Central General Hospital emphasized that the hospital is committed to continuing to standardize data according to international standards HL7 and FHIR, and expanding connectivity with other medical facilities and the national health information portal.
