Strengthening the Steering Committee for the drafting of the Law on Science and Technology (amended)

Kinhtedothi - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 674/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2025, to reorganize the Head of the Steering Committee for the drafting of the Law on Science and Technology (amended).

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung heads the Steering Committee for the drafting of the revised Law on Science and Technology.

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung was appointed Head of the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee for the drafting of the Law on Science and Technology (amended) was established according to Decision No. 457/QD-TTg dated May 28, 2024.

The Steering Committee is responsible for advising and assisting the Prime Minister in directing the drafting of the revised Law on Science and Technology in accordance with the schedule and regulations of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents, including the following tasks:

Review and approve the plan and schedule for the drafting of the Law on Science and Technology (amended) prepared by the Ministry of Science and Technology;

Directing the drafting of the revised Law on Science and Technology, including the draft Law, the draft Submission Document, and other required documents;

Directing the process of soliciting opinions from ministries, sectors, localities, and relevant organizations and individuals regarding the draft Law on Science and Technology (amended); directing the process of incorporating feedback from relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals on the draft Law on Science and Technology (amended);

Directing coordination with National Assembly committees in the process of drafting, reviewing, and submitting the draft Law on Science and Technology (amended); performing other tasks as assigned and directed by the Government and the Prime Minister.
